Mitchell's a wonderful 6th round gem. Hope Kyle can get another one in 2022.

"I definitely want to improve on making guys miss in the open field. That's one thing," Mitchell said earlier this month. "And also, being able to not just be in the backfield, [but] trying to line up out wide, being a receiver. So this offseason, that's one thing I'm going to be working on, running routes and stuff."

The scheme versatility is really going to challenge defensive groupings if Elijah Mitchell shows he can line up at WR.
Saw something written that Mitchell avg 6.1 ypc outside the tackles and it said just 2.6 inside the guards. I wonder if the person meant to write "2.6 inside the tsckles" as just isolating A-gap runs is a bit odd, but if I'm right and we run a lot more read option with lance, the QB would be the outside run and the back would be inside - judging by those numbers, maybe sermon isn't dead

In TC the beat writers were raving about his soft hands and even discussed his as a possible slot WR option. Hopefully we see it on display next year

Mitchell had a clean-up done on his knee. I forgot how many injuries he had to deal with last season. Knee, Shoulder, Finger, Rib, and a concussion.

Love this!
If he can stay healthy I expect 1200 plus yards. Fingers crossed
Tough kid
Just might be our first 1,000 yard back during Shanahan regime.

He easily would've got it last season had he not missed games. Kid is a stud
It can easily be argued he had the best per game stats out of any rookie rb and was right at top 10 per game for all rbs.

I love the fact he's a low runner. you constantly see him squirt through under the D for an extra 3,4,5 yards at the end of runs, falling forwards.

Yeah, it's a quality he shares that is very Emmitt Smith-like (and not to evoke a Dallas Cowboy ). Not saying he's Emmitt Smith ftr.

When Elijah played for the Rajin' Cajins he was 210-215 lbs. Happy to see he plans to play this season @ 215. Don't think it should effect his speed much, but should be an upgrade in power and stamina. He learned a lot in his rookie season and should be even better this year. That said, it won't surprise me to see Lynch possibly draft a RB or at a minimum sign a UDFA. Like CB's, you just can't have too many good RB's as we all witnessed with the Ravens last year. Go Elijah!
