963 yards in just 11 games played. If this kid can figure out how to stay on the field he's going to be special.

His hard running gave us a chance.

He's a great runner. Not as fast as Mostert or Breida have been for us, but he's still fast in his own right… and runs with more power than either of them. He's so good about turning 2 yard runs into 7 yards.

Speed will eventually show up...he was the fastest RB in the draft last offseason (4.32)

Yup. Definitely the number one back going forward.
Mitchell, Wilson, Sermon, and Hasty seems good enough.
Mitchell, Mostert, Wilson, Sermon, and Hasty seem lethal, though a guy like Hasty is likely the odd man out. If he is, hope he can catch on in New York because they need running help.

I love Mitchell but am in the minority wanting a bigger bruising back to spell him in the draft, I hope Sermon comes along but I want a downhill runner to get a guaranteed 4 yards down the middle every time he touches the ball for those 3rd downs.

His running was fantastic. Found holes, creases, and crevices.

I'd lock this kid up - before he prices himself out of our range. 5yrs/$25M, should do it - same as what Frankie got.

Agree, about Mitchell, and agree about getting a bruising back. My hope is that Sermon is that back. He's big and he can catch. He had some great college tape of him breaking tackles in the box. If they activate Sermon, someone has to sit down, I would think. Right now, Mitchell is the work horse in that position group. I hope they use him well and rest him when they can.

Unbelievable performance from him and Deebo. Thosev two turned the tide. I cant remember the last tiime i saw so many runs that made something out of nothing.. Mitchell probably not running 4.3 cause he put on muscle. Who cares.

Can't extend a player's contract until after their 3rd season.

Agree, and that knee injury doesn't help either. Give him a whole offseason and an NFL weight training program and he'll be even better next year.
What a gem in the 6th round.

Agree with this and history has shown that our later picks tend to have the most growth of any draft group under this regime. Mitchell is really good now, but like you said, he will be even better next season once he goes through our training and development program. I loved Jennings in college and knew he would be an awesome 7th round pick for us. We see what a year under our development program has done for him.
