Not sure why we're not rotating him and Wilson.

One way to look at it is Wilson is now fresh for the Rams game.

Wilson is excellent in the redzone as well.

Yup, Wilson's not yet at his historic average of 4.2 yards per carry. He's averaging about 3.7 this year, but I think a big factor was the knee injury he had earlier in pre-season. But the trend is up, in Atlanta and Cinci game - Jeff averaged 4.3+ yards per carry in both games. Mitchell is almost averaging 5.0 yards per carry (4.7) for the year. Dang! Trey doesn't have to shoulder the entire pressure of winning against the Rams. Mitchell is there for him to lean on if he gets in trouble this Sunday.

Thanks Kyle.

he's out for 3 weeks and then he's your main back against the friggin Texans. And the guy who had been performing while Elijah was out, JW jr, can't even get in the game. Oh wait, he came in on a blocking play. After that nothing. And Elijah gets hurt again………..

I'm not gonna relax because the Niners coach doesn't possess common F'ing sense.
Pretty sure any normal Joe football fan off the street wouldn't have run our prized (oft injured) running back into the ground like that. He was out 3 weeks prior and Jeff Wilson was doing well. "I'm gonna sit Wilson and give all rb carries to Mitchell….against the Texans". Genius.
Common F'ing sense…….

There's a plan man KS knows more pro football than everyone on the planet. He's gonna do what's in the best interest of every player and the club.

He did. But the dude was spanked 72-0 on Madden online.
I don't think he reinjured or aggravated his knee. It's just something that he's dealing with and probably will be til the offseason. He ran great on Sunday.

KS also didn't sound too worried when he talked about it.

Mitchell is the steal of the draft.

By far. 122 yards this sunday will get him to 1,000 yards and will be in only 11 games. If this guy would of stayed healthy, I think he would be competing with Jonathan Taylor for the rushing title

Easily 2nd in the NFL in rushing (3rd if Henry stayed healthy) just amazing

That's amazing - 1,000 yards in only 11 games.

This guy will be key to keeping Jimmy in the game if he plays. Defense will go after Jimmy and he'll just screen pass it to Mitchell. Or Jimmy will just hand it to Mitchell on 1st and 2nd downs to make it 3rd and short. That way Jimmy doesn't have to throw deep that much.
