He also sets up his blocks well and plays with a surprising amount of power.

I don't quite thin he's as impactful as Mostert was but I think he's going to prove to be more durable.

He's better than Mostert who can't stay healthy. Mostert is better at only speed. Mitchell is pretty fast and a better and more reliable overall back.

How many " like i says" did you count

A plethora

Mitchell - like I say
Deebo - you know what I'm sayin
Shanahan - ummmm ummm

Mitchell is the steal of the draft.

This. Mitchell looks like a 4.4 or maybe even low 4.5s guy to me despite his hand timed 40s. Mostert on the other hand is every bit 4.3 or even 4.2 speed.

They need a replacement for Mostert. Someone with the explosiveness to house it from anywhere on the field. Get a guy like that to share carries with Mitchell, Wilson and Sermon.
Is it that easy? I'm all for it if they can. Mostert's speed and take it to the house dimension is the reason I'd still resign him for 1-2 years at the right price. But if they can just find another 4.2 guy just like that, go for it. Find another Goodwin while they are at it.

If Eddie was still the owner, he would find a way to give Mitchell more money on the side in addition to his lowly 6th rounder contract

I hope they don't try to low ball him - I'd give him a 5yr/$25M extension today.

Not eligible for another 2 seasons. Lucky for us :).

I'm not sure. Mostert when healthy is a true game breaker. I agree his injury history makes it hard to trust him, though.

At 100% healthy I would still take Mostert over Mitchell but only barely.

The biggest difference is mostert can't be a bell cow. Mostert is great when he's around 10-12 touches. Mitchell can be a bell cow but even he gets injured. Would love to bring mostert back on the cheap and bring him along slow.

mitchell- mostert- sermon- Wilson is a great backfield

Right up there with the number of 'ums' that we hear from Kyle. Now we need to combine the 'like I say' with the 'ums' and throw in the often used 'know what I mean'. Um, like I say, you know what I mean?

I don't look at this a san either/or situation. Play them both. Mostert can't stay healthy so they need both. Mitchell is a better RB as far as overall skills but Mostert is faster and is a threat to go all the way if he get's through that hole. Hopefully they will be able to keep Mostert since coming off an injury would likely lower his value in the free agent market.
He's really the key to game. If we can stay in 2nd and short throughout the game, we have a great shot. They're going to sell out to stop the run, but so did HOU. We need another big game from Mitchell.

By far. 122 yards this sunday will get him to 1,000 yards and will be in only 11 games. If this guy would of stayed healthy, I think he would be competing with Jonathan Taylor for the rushing title

Not sure why we're not rotating him and Wilson.

One way to look at it is Wilson is now fresh for the Rams game.

Wilson is excellent in the redzone as well.

Agreed. Mostert is best at 10-12 touches.

Agree - definitely a steal in the draft. I'd go as far as saying he's worth a first round draft pick that we gave away for Trey Lance. Having him in the Backfield (if somebody, not me, projects Trey as a bust) will save ShanaLynch's jobs. I think he's that good.

Now with Trey as his QB, he's going to be scoring a lot of touchdowns, for sure. Rams, or whoever, can't solely key on stopping Trey's runs and his raw passing. They have to game plan on Mitchell running them over too.
