Love the way he gets yds after contact. He's a heck of a player!

Definitely. I also like his patience to allow his blockers to get setup and then just go find the hole. He has that uncanny ability to hit it right away and still get couple yards even though it seemed he was stopped couple of times. What a steal.

OROY
Rookie rushing leaders:
— Akash Anavarathan (@akashanav) November 29, 2021
1. Najee Harris, 708 yards, 11 games
2. Elijah Mitchell, 693 yards, 8 games
3. Javonte Williams, 568 yards, 10 games
Mitchell has been far/away the best rookie running back in this draft class and he wasn't even the first one taken on his own team (!)

Another great game, one of the offensive leaders this year

In my fantasy league I traded Clyde-Elair straight up for Eilijah Mitchell after his first break out game. Everyone in the league thought I was gifting the other guy a stud running back to help him, little did they know I had "hope" for Eilijah. Kyle loves to run and he sticks with the winning horse. Eilijah has been carrying the 49ers and my fantasy team.

Best back we've had since Gore.

Totally agree. I hope he makes it past Seadderall with all his body parts intact.

He gets praise about how fast and explosive he is, but he doesn't appear to have breakaway speed.

Yeah, I know - that's the next thing he has to prove, that he can stay healthy.

Yeah, Seadderall has a way of ruining our day on that front.

How does this guy never fall backwards? He's fast, not that big and he still gets 3 extra yards after he gets hit. Unbelievable rb. He's a very good receiver out of the backfield which I hope Jimmy and Shanahan can see after this game (and the second Cardinals game). I wish he took different angles sometimes but that's just being nitpicky. He's ypg is sick. He's missed so much time and he's still better than any of the other rookie rbs.

His vision is way better than the beginning of the season. Good to see improvement.

That´s exactly what I was thinking. At the beginning of the season, it seemed that he didn´t see the holes or he didn´t wait enough. He´s clearly not the same player he was week one which tells you that with these young guys just have some patience.

He doesn't. He isn't Mostert. His main assets is hitting the hole with authority, and breaking tackles and churning tough yards. He plays more like a power back after the contact where he isn't really one. He does remind me a bit of young Gore, but Gore also had explosiveness and was even harder to bring down. Offtopic: does anyone have the gif of Holmgren getting PISSED like crazy on seattle sideline when like six of his guys couldn't bring Frankie down ?
