Man you guys are obsessing way too much about 1 game after a really long Covid hold out. They were completely out of sorts. No way to gel and play together and get on the same page.
* He did some good things in that game. It was far from all bad. Look at it again if you think there is nothing good in there.
* They won the game. Gosh that is nitpicking. Not a pretty enough win for you guys?
* That deep ball was absolutely perfect down the sideline. The WR just dropped it. He hit him right in the hands full stride. Is it his fault the WR dropped a TD?
* He had some good throws.
* He had some good runs.
Lance is what he is. Look at 2019 if you want to see what he is. He is a big, strong, fast athlete with a strong arm. But he is raw and needs some development. We knew this. Everybody knew this. His upside potential is awesome. But he is no guarantee. Nobody is.

Lance had a good workout.

If teams want him they'll need to trade to 3 though.

Man there's some real dumb takes in here.
He's not "twitchy enough" for some and they others complain he runs too much? lol wut?
He won't be ready for 2 yrs...because I said so?
I swear some of ya'll don't do your homework on these guys and listen to the mass media who clearly showed us they don't know hit...way too much.

Who did you want? I havent seen a lot of video on his "WTF throws" but would be happy to check some links if you have any.
Either Mac or Fields. I don't really want to go through all his game tapes and post a bunch of youtube clips right now. I will just say he was inconsistently accurate past the line of scrimmage in many games. Statistically the Least accurate past the line of scrimmage of any QB drafted in the first round since 2017.
I don't want to keep bashing Lance though. I want to try to turn the page and try to stay positive about him.

Ei,
I can't blame you brah... and I've always said that whichever QB we drafted (before and after the trade) and get rid of Jimmy, it'll be a step BACKWARD... that alone will be taking us OUT of contending for the Super Bowl when our team is READY..
HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!

Yeah so let's not compare Lance to Kap when it comes to throwing motion or mechanics. It's not an accurate take. When it comes to mobility, 'twtichy' is a term used to describe Lance. Kap was deliberate and strong as a runner. Both have strong arms and are dangerous in the open field as runners, but that's where the similarities stop.
disagree completely.
when I saw a video comparing Fields and Lance, Fields was far twitchier as a runner, and I said out loud, Lances running is more like Kap.
lance tried to run over dudes barely better than high school dudes. He doesn't possess explosive lateral ability.
I will edit to say I wanted Fields and will judge shanahan harshly in both the pick and the trade if this fails. Hope I'm wrong.
Agreed. I wouldn't call Lance twitchy. More just straight down hill than making moves and alluding defenders. just trucking dudes. I don't think Fields is that twitchy either.
It's actually the opposite. Lance has much more agility and ability to chop his feet and move laterally
We shall see. In most of the highlights I've seen he's not doing much chopping and lateral movement. More downhill and running through guys.

This. If you think Jimmy choked away the Super Bowl, then why would you want someone that chokes away every NFCCG?

Who said they're getting rid of Jimmy? No one who actually matters has said that...he has absolutely no market at this point. He will more than likely be the starter day 1, which is ideal IMO.
Lance has all the traits you want in a top 5 QB, he's super young and will require a little patience which is perfect because we HAVE Jimmy.

He seemed to have the best info. Him and Rich Eisen.

A lot of people spew without research. San Fran is going to go 1000 for 1000 on third and 1-2.

Very happy with this pick. You know Shanahan can't wait for Day 1 to start working with Lance. I'm sure it's going to take some time for Lance to learn & develop, not only in this scheme but with regards to the NFL game and the talent & speed within. But maybe not all that much time for him. You hear how Lance has such an impressive football mind in understanding the game & absorbing scheme concepts to translate towards properly executing plays at a high level (Shanahan & Lynch were very impressed)...this combined with his physical talents and to me, this guy could be very tough to deal with before long (he's only 20, which is unbelievable). I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses.
