Its just training camp so whatever but this is a good point. Kyle can't scheme receivers wide open EVERY play. Sometimes you have to throw up those 50/50 balls and live with the outcome

Can we stop with the jump passes to kittle

Jump ball passes are not kind to George's legs/feet

Yeah, get those passes down.

Well just to clarify,..."jump balls" are when the WR and cover guy are pretty much stationary,...not still on the move down the field. You go for them at the end of halves or in the endzone, ideally.

The one that Jimmy hurt Kittle with wasnt a "jump ball" either,...it was a pass that sailed too high. It wasnt a competition for the ball,...he was just inaccurate with it.

And even with all that,...Kittle didn't really need to jump for it today,...but made sure to get up with the DB there in coverage.

But man,...Aiyuk,...Kittle,...Hurd,...let's hope we see alot more jumping for balls this year than we're used to.

Yall complaining about that pass??? Really?

Thats a perfectly fine pass. He's a damn TE.

Whats bad is when youre throwing what should be a damn layup of a pass and you throw it high when a safety is barreling straight at your receiver. Now THATS a bad pass.

So the down field jump ball pass that broke kittles foot is ok?

Jump balls are jump balls
Per MB
Hours after signing his four-year contract, Lance was 5-for-7 passing in 11-on-11 situations. His day was highlighted by a jump ball down the sideline that George Kittlehauled in and a perfectly thrown 35-yarder down the sideline to Deebo Samuel during 7-on-7 drills.

Uh, yes. Why wouldn't it be? I'm assuming you're referring to the one down the field against the Seahawks.

Breaking his foot is not ok, leave that to someone else

I have no idea why youre bringing that up. Are you saying a receiver should never have to jump for a ball? Or are you just trying to do your typical "defend jimmy at all costs" schtick.

Yes they sure are. It's an overused term tho. Choosing to leave your feet when you could've stayed on the ground and catching it in stride isint really what the term "jump ball" is for.

I certainly want my tight end to jump for balls. If his foot is that bad he needs to retire.

A jump ball is a 50/50 ball.

In a nutshell
And that pass from Lance wasn't a 50/50 ball. Only Kittle had a realistic chance for it.
On this Kittle jump ball I heard that Lance was being blitzed on the play and saw that Kittle was in single coverage.
