I've never seen a player in my life that keeps getting a spot on the roster when he's consistently the worst QB on the team. Lol
2021: given QB2 (which I get it but he still didn't earn it)
2022: handed QB1 when he was the worst qb on the roster
2023: gets beat out by darnold and Team goes with Brandon allen
2023: will Grier is better but still gets cut to make room for him. Still the worst QB on the roster.

Dude went from a team where he was "beloved in the locker room" according to Juice, to third string on the most scrutinized team in the league. He's in the deep end of the pool now, the swimmies are off. It's sink or swim now, with a team that has far less reason to be patient with him the this one did.

They don't officially retire numbers but there have been a few we haven't seen since they were worn by previous greats, like 8 and 22.
Obviously we've seen some 88's since The Playmaker retired though.
