So every single report by a beat writer for any player is trash. Got it.

How bad do you want him to fail? A lot by the sound of it.

i tell you not to rely on tweets (because they leave out a lot of context the reporters just couldn't know about practice) and that equals me wanting Lance to fail?

. why would i want Lance to fail? if that were true, why have i been arguing that the team has NOT soured on him?

jesus f**king christ dude you have issues. your capt save-a-Lance gig has you seriously delusional.

Twitter has him believing a guy more pro Trey than him is a Trey Hater. Twitter rots your brain and diminishes the ability to think critically.

go back and read pages 30-60ish in this tread, all kinds of people thought he ran a system like shanny's in college and might be the most prepared player to step foot on an NFL field in that draft.

Over estimations on his arm, mobility, vision...every thing was over hyped.

It is very much like Alex Smith al over again, and in hindsight it is surreal.

2005 Alex Smith would've been awesome to have drafted in place of rookie Trey, he was a much better pro prospect. I think Kyle could have worked with him, anyone drafted to that 2005 team was going to suck due to circumstances, and the team surrounding them. Rodgers would've gotten ruined by that staff/team, he wasn't as physically tough as Smith.

Lol, non functional Alex, no thanks. He would have had the same problems. Took him way too long to get going, and got injured. He's the same dude

Shows how much you know, lol.
If there is anyone I could see in place of TL, it would simply have been Fields. I want to see all this 11 v 11 KS had cooking. Fields, that stuff would be bananas.

My bad, I just didn't enjoy the Alex Smith ride, I did that once, and once was more than enough, thank you. He's a good dude.

a few of these Twitter accounts being posted here arent even at camp. they just propagate tidbits from the writers who are there.

I'm not trying to be "right" or anything, I was just dumb founded we drafted lance. It's nothing against him as a person or player, just the timing and fit didn't make sense for where we were and were he was. Especially if Kyle really wanted 11-11 football, Fields was the choice. Fields and lance both needed development in the throwing game. Mac jones Was the best for Quickest play.

it's one of those things that I've always wished I'd be wrong about but so far haven't. It's not over. Like I said earlier, we still have an upcoming season and who knows what will happen.

i just don't know what the hell people were thinking when they watched his film (with context) and thought he was near ready for the NFL.

lol you cry so much. Brock performed last year with scrubs

That's my QB.

so much more comfortable out there

Why is this about Trey versus Brock? Who here is saying Brock should not be the starter? This is about you people INCORRECTLY claiming those sacks were all on Trey. They weren't. Maybe half of them were on him. But even when he hesitated, it is not unreasonable to expect the line to hold up for long enough to move to a second read when it's a four man rush. This isn't a guy looking right then left and not knowing what to do while a blitz is coming. This is a guy seeing his first read and seeing the coverage is decent, and holding it long enough to go to the next read instead of throwing into a tight window. That's not the same thing as "deer in the headlights." That's being too cautious when he should take a chance. That's not the same thing.

For example, that second sack, it was an out against a cover 2. Purely theoretically you don't throw that. But in the NFL, you can make the throw by leading the WR away from the CB. Top tier quarterbacking makes the throw. That doesn't mean Trey played BADLY by instead deciding to go to the second read. The people who played badly were the linemen who couldn't hold a four man rush long enough for the QB to be cautious and go to his second freaking read. Not only that, at least one of the two on the back side were going to come open, and one possibly for a huge gain, if the linemen managed to hold a four man rush long enough for the QB to go to his second read.

So yeah, this isn't about Brock versus Trey. This is about you people being haters.

Trey needs to play as much as he can for the rest of the preseason. The kid needs as many reps as he can possibly get whether it is with this team or with another team eventually. I just don't think we should trade him right now as we are trying to win as Super Bowl & are probably going to need more than 1 QB for this team during the season.

And yet a rookie QB drafted in the 4th rd played just as well. Mac got booed by his fans. towards the end of his rookie yr teams started figuring out his limitations.

People want to blame whomever besides him. Acting like he doesn't have the goat HC they're making the decisions.

McCorkle never got to play with Kittle or CMC. Or Deebo or Aiyuk. Keep the energy the same there pimpin'

Such a ridiculous rebuttal. You are better than this Kriz.

I really want Trey to succeed. Yesterday was, a generally poor showing. Sam was no better either.

Right now I'm not concerned about whos job it is to be QB1. My current concern is that if Brock has Henry Rowengartner arm we are fooked.

Is that right? I keep thinking "who the f is this guy and how did he get a press pass?" when I read the tweet of some rando that posts as if he was at camp. This explains a lot.
