Even worse. Lol that's a terrible look for everyone on O. You should be more prepared and focused if that's the case. No surprises in the play calling

PFF had Trey Lance under pressure on 10 of his 20 dropbacks. Quick math tells me that's 50%.

Sam Darnold pressured on 3 of 8 dropbacks (37.5%).
Brandon Allen pressured once on 8 dropbacks (12.5%).
30.5% pressure rate isn't bad overall. Sounds like the o line started to settle more and more as the game went on. 50% is super high though. The pass pro didn't do Trey any favors but Trey's 3.87 TTT under pressure suggests he didn't do them any favors either. I am sure Trey will do his part and get his mistakes corrected. I expect him to come out looking a lot better next week.
Brock finished last year at 3.6 TTT
We all know how often Brock held the ball looking down field....
That is the one misleading part of TTT.... your quick throws can be super quick, and then inflated by long holds....since it is an average.
Merge TTT with Completion Percentage and average depth of throw and that will tell you what your eyes already have.
In Lance's case the dude did not look ready for that game, I wonder if the team does not script the first 10-15 plays for preseason like they do in the regular season. You would think Lance knew what plays he was going to be running for at least the last week, if not last 2 weeks.

Right? You'd think the the whole team would have executed well…did kyle actually say this or is this an assumption?

Sometimes this stuff isn't that complicated. KS wanted his Mahomes / Josh Allen. We reached for the traits. Turns out, those guys are a lil hard to find, and the draft is a crapshoot. The tin foil hats, can come off.
Based on his minimal record in college, trading 3 first round draft choices for Trey was simply a huge error in judgment. Too much of a gamble to justify the massive expenditure.
To be fair, people say 3 firsts but that really wasn't technically true. It was 2 firsts to swap spots.
That said.. At this point yeah, no matter how you slice it, it comes out as a horrific trade. Thank God we got Purdy. Could you imagine if we didn't have him and Jimmy was gone now? I don't want to think about that.
More accurate to say three firsts to select Trey?
It's a silly never ending debate, but to me it will always be 3 firsts.
Cuz the answer, to who we got, with our 2021 1st, our 2022 1st, and our 2023 1st is one name, Trey Lance. We got no one else, with three years of round 1s.

If that's the case then treys got.problems. I was giving him the benefit.of the doubt as he was playing with backups and a vanilla offense.

We USED three 1sts to select Trey. Can't debate that.

Lol man, I'll agree and say he didn't do anyone any favors. He didn't play well…but how in the world can you judge anything or play football with that pressure rate? That's embarrassing for this team.
Because if TL really knew what he was doing he would have checked into plays to handle the pressure, or utilized the alerts call structure built into the plays, instead of looking like a deer in the headlights.
Like Brock Purdy did vs the Eagles?
Or when he got his ribs broken
But still manage to win games?? And perform like a franchise QB.
Must be nice having CMC/BA/Kittle and Deebo to dump the ball off. must be nice to have Williams blocking your blind side. Must be nice to actually have kyle call legit plays. Must be nice to have the defense gift you 20 TOs in 8 games.
Wtf

I'm doing the SAME s**t you all do for lance. Anyone posts a highlight throw. You ALL s**t on it. We talk about the Texans game and you all s**t on it. Anytime a highlight video is brought up, let's see ALL the snaps.
I get posts about QB rating and stats. To support dudes like Sam. Well I guess that s**t doesn't matter given what his stats were yesterday, right?
we can't talk about bad throws that didn't turn into TOs for Brock, BUT we can for Lance?
If ya'll don't like it then don't do it the other way…don't be hypocritical. That's my point.

Hopefully he plays this week then. At least for a series. I don't even care if he only hands the ball off. Just get in the huddle, call the play, call protections/audibles, etc. I don't like the thought of his first live action coming in week 1 on the road.
