But you know very well had that been Lance it would be an issue for YOU and some others in here. That's part of the issue.

The other issue is the simple fact that if Brock is playing Trey cannot play in games that do matter to show us whether he's better or not. Some of you guys are fighting tooth and nail to still downplay Trey's clear improvement and refuse to acknowledge the different situations Trey and Brock found themselves in last year when each was called upon to start.

We saw some HORRIBLE throws from Brock to start the Seahawks rain game in the playoffs. The weather improved and he clearly did as well. What would've happened in Chicago when the weather was worse to start, got worse as the game went along and there was no CMC, no Kittle and even Mitchell went out early all while the OL played like garbage? Think he's the same player we saw later in the season? Does he seize his opportunity the same way? Or does the timing and circumstances of the opportunity matter?

The weather was fine until the 2nd half. Trey was f**king awful in the game. Missed wide open guys against the worst team in the league. It was an embarrassing performance.

The conditions in the first half of the CHI game were a lot like the conditions in the beginning of the SEA playoff game.

Yes, and purdy led the niners to 3 straight scoring drives against a playoff team early.

What did trey do against the worst team in the league after our defense kept giving him great field position? Punt punt punt punt

I don't care who our starter is, just want the best QB.
Is Trey's rookie contract fully guaranteed if he gets injured?

The weather got worse as the game progressed but to say itwas fine in the first half is silly. Neither team was able to move the ball much.

In treys defense the niners were moving it pretty well against the Bears the first drive until.deebo fumbled. But you can make the argument that it was scripted. Once they went away from the script trey looked like butt. And the rain didn't really.come.down until the 2nd half.

Looks like Lance is getting most of the 1st half snaps. It may depend on results and how long the drives are. I wouldn't mind seeing him get all the first half snaps next week or in the final game as well. He needs all the work he can get since he's not going to see the field much when the season starts unless Purdy gets hurt.
Let's go Trey! I want to see Trey efficient. Telling guys where to lineup if they brain freezed. Move and slide way from pressure. Throw accurate, catchable balls. And most of all no injury to any of our players.

Trey drove the team down the field in the first drive of the game but Deebo fumbled the ball away in the redzone. The 2nd drive ended from a sack on 3rd and 7. Trey did lead the offense on a game leading TD drive before the end of the first half. So we should have been up by double digits in the first half of the CHI game. Unfortunately, the O line was playing poorly and a TO took points off the board.

I like both QB's. I want whichever one gives us the best chance at winning a SB. As of right now, that is Brock Purdy. That doesn't mean I need to put one of them down to prop up the other.

Dude.. That is extreme. No need to overstate things and go overboard with an emotionally charged comment.

Was it a poor performance with some bad throws? Yes. Embarrassing? Come on. Give me a f**king break.

Trey got us down to the red zone less than five minutes into the game, and Deebo fumbled at the 10 and blew a glorious scoring opportunity.

Trey wasn't perfect, yes, but we had the lead at the half. And a 10-0 lead in the third. On top of that, Trey led the team in rushing that day with 54 yards.

Let's not act like he was throwing pick sixes left and right, running out of the back of the end zone for safeties (oops!) and couldn't move the ball all day.. He made several bad throws, absolutely, but his overall game was not the horrific disaster as you made it seem.
I am doubtful that there will be a trade. You have a question mark at Right Tackle, which could increase the risk of QB injury. QB1 has only started half a season and the league will be dissecting his film. QB2 is coming back from injury and is still very raw, so you need to keep an experienced QB3 since this team could very well need QB3 to play. Keeping Brock, Trey and Sam makes more sense than a future draft pick.

I agree people would be forming tar and feather mobs if it was Trey. I agree with everything but will raise the broken ribs and short week flag on the Seahawks game. So was it rain was it ribs was it both… we can only debate.

We didn't know the ribs were broken at the time.

Edit: I was agreeing with genus49

Deebo fumbled and Jennings tripped and fell on what should have been a walk-in touchdown. Trey definitely wasn't as bad as the stats show.

Hey finally get to see some football. That's nice. I don't expect anything crazy either way.

Honestly I think Brock needs the reps all the same.

BP will get his reps, it's good to have QB1 get the reps in prax, wearing the no contact jersey. I think that's the focus, I think BP maybe plays preseason, at some point, but if you blink you may miss him lol, it's not gonna be a lot of snaps, and none Sunday
