Agree 💯%, I think this is rank (as in stinky) speculation. Lance is doing well, and he'll most likely will do well in the raider game - and probably will play a regular season game or two if Brock needs a break this season.

Yes it was. But even busts have good throws. There is more to quarterbacking then having a nice throw.

Love the arch on this throw, this is why I'd like to see him be more consistent at (the arch), I feel like sometimes he puts it on a rope too often. Beautiful pass though.

not saying he has an issue. lol just that if he could hit things like that consistently at all levels, he'll be hard to keep off the field.

The coverage on Trey Lance is all over the place with most saying he has considerably improved and others saying they should trade/release him.. I really want to see Trey have success with the 49ers and feel he can be a franchise qb but i don't think he will be able to unseat Brock. I hope he balls out in the preseason!
I'll root for the kid if he stays on the 49ers or he lands on another team.

Crazy ppl here want to get rid of any of our QBs given our past history. In the Shanahan era outside of 2019, we had to use at least more than 1 QB every year (multiple times going to QB3 which is f**king crazy if you think about it).

We play a number 1 schedule this year so risk for QB injury may be higher (better teams-->better pass rushers-->more sacks-->greater likelihood for injury). Btw all of our QBs have significant recent (like last year) injury histories including Darnold (missed the majority of the beginning of last season with a bad high ankle sprain).

We aren't trading anyone. Allen will be kept on the PS and protected for the max number of weeks then moved to the active roster. (especially if we have another injury).

Last thing Shanahan wants to do is try to find a Josh Johnson type QB late in the season especially in the playoffs.

Man our injury history has to change.. statistically it is absolutely insane how we've been so unlucky. We've been the most injured team in the league since kyle took over in 2017. One of our years was one of the worst seasons ever for a team injury wise.

it's so improbable for a team to have this many injuries, you'd imagine the statistics will balance out eventually - especially to our key players. It's f**kin depressing. Lol
