It scares me because it's incredibly irrational and dangerous. Potentially because we lucked into Brock the move for Trey can be brushed aside and essentially called even. But how can our evaluation of Trey be so terrible to make such a big move and then not give him the tools to try to turn him into the best version of himself?

The kid is clearly putting in the work to improve but it's borderline malpractice to give Trey that few reps over a 55 game starter in Darnold and friggin Brandon Allen.

Because Kyle doesn't know how to develop a QB. It seemed like he was all in on developing one when he drafted Trey but he got impatient and wasn't willing to help him grow. It's definitely malpractice to give him so few reps when he knows he needs them.

Everyone knows I'm not a Trey lover but he looks much improved. With our injury history, I'd keep him as of right now for the upcoming season. After is a different discussion, have to see how the season plays out.

Trey is finally showing real growth (I know he was injured but doesn't change the fact he has minimal growth from year 1-2). He's already accounted for on the books. Let this season play out or let another team blow us away.

Qb injuries are a big concern and we have too good of a roster to bank it all on darnold if Brock goes down. Let's see if Lance really has it this year. I really like how he is looking in camp so far.

I think Kyle had a great and patient plan for Lance. Just Brock came in and played at a high level. Not only played, but is more than capable of handling the adversity of games - even play off games.

people need to stop acting like Brock being QB1 is a shot at Lance, Brock did everything anyone could possibly want in order to deserve it. It's not set in stone - Lance has a chance to unseat him or make the leash on Brock really short.

Lance just needs to keep doing what he is doing, working his ass off. Let things play out man.

if you wanna complain about anything, complain that darnold is getting half the reps Lance should be at times. Lol that is a shot at Lance from Kyle IMO.

this stuff is a long way from over, let the boys compete and dominos fall where they do. Whoever is out there, is best for the team. Not best for Brock or Lance.

Because it's year 7 and Kyle is talking about them having 4 good QB's. It's very frustrating but we'll see how it plays out.

Pay attention to actions, not words. We're not splitting up the 1st team reps when the guy we really believe is good is out there. We're operating normally in this context.
Joe Burrow carted off the field after a non contact calf injury. He has Nick Bosa's agent, and is also looking for a record setting contract.

He should have been spectating until he got paid. Only QB that is worth what he is paid is Pat Mahomes. The rest of them with the mega deals are overpaid!

Trevor Siemian, or Trey Lance?

Neither ideally. Burrow is obviously the guy for the long haul, and he's not necessarily going to be out for significant time. The situation calls for a short term answer.

If he's truly set on that, I agree with everything you both said. I'm thrilled we have Brock, and hopefully we can win a bunch of trophies with him, because when it comes time for his retirement, we will be the next New England Patriots.

I agree 100%, they reset the qb market all the time wkth guys who aren't the best. It's non sense.

Like Allen, who was their backup the last two years

The problem for them is when you know you have an elite guy at the spot, you rarely invest in a high quality, expensive, backup.

But they shouldn't be panicking unless it's a tear requiring surgery. Might just be a TC/preseason vacation.
