I totally disagree with this. Mahomes significantly improved from his first year starting to his 2nd, if you are speaking non-stat related how he plays the position. He said he didn't know how to read a defense at all in his first year, and since then has learned how to do it. Justin Jefferson has significantly improved his game since his rookie year, and he was a 1400 yard receiver then.

I don't buy that you have to be bad or not adequate to be able to significantly improve.

Operation pump n dump is finally getting a bite... Falcons show themselves as the first QB desperate and needy team, a little earlier than I expected... a conditional 3rd round pick next year would be a good deal for the 9ers to move TL at this point, let's see if the bid meets the ask

Falcons tarded, 2nd round conditional is a steal and Johnny Lynch should jump at this offer... "do what is best for Lance and his camp", not the kind of language that says "we want to keep you here, Trey".... all the pieces of the puzzle are adding up over the last 365 days

Only a Trey hater would think a conditional 2nd round pick is an offer worth considering. I'd hang up immediately if I was Lynch.

I was talking about Mahommes last year to Mahommes this upcoming season.

Those guys all actually played. key word, playing time. Lol if someone is saying you significantly improved in practice year over year, it most likely means you weren't playing well.

regardless, this is a ridiculous thing to debate. Hahaha I do understand where you're coming from but my own opinon is that he wasn't very good last year in the offseason.

im just glad it's a great positive improvement. Just means we are in a much better position than last year and that's what matters most. I'm excited to see how he looks in camp since he's been back with the qb coaches since after mini camps

I wonder if conditional means it can turn into a first round pick. Depending on the condition, I think that's a fair trade. I doubt we get three firsts. That would most likely be a top 15 pick

Hopefully other teams start competing and the offers go up, if he's traded at all.

The biggest worry is just injuries. Trey also gives us the ability to put him on the field in funky situations, if he has hands. Like the Philly special play.

You could be right. My head went the opposite that the conditions met would yield a 2nd, not that the conditions met would bump the 2nd higher. Not sure what's right.

Lol no one is trading a 2nd rounder for trey. He has next to no value right now: an inexperienced, injury prone player who has looked so so when healthy

I still don't know if a second round pick that can turn into a first, If condition are met, would be enough.

id much rather see a first round pick with a conditional pick that can be a first or 2 - make the second pick conditional. That way if he turns out to be a baller, you at least got some decent compensation.

may be a lot to ask based on his history but they're not buying the history, they're buying the future potential, contract, and the 2 years of coaching he got here. They're also asking us to hurt our qb room when we have a rich history of injures. Lol

I don't see it as an embarrassment. It was a gamble that hasn't paid off but there's nothing embarrassing about it. Every season some teams gamble and miss on draft picks of free agents. They aren't embarrassed when it doesn't work They move on and keep trying. They did that when they drafted Brock. They wouldn't have done so if Lance had worked out.

I can't be embarrassed about a team that has one of the top 3 rosters in the league from top to bottom.
