He just wants everyone to pump the breaks on Purdy and not write off Lance. Baffles me that you cant understand this. Does he go a little over the top with his wait and see for Purdy at times? Sure. But he just wants the best player to be our QB, something that clearly not everyone on this board does.

He clowned on JG for years, while praising everything Lance, as many have done.

He is not praising everything Lance. Once again, you are so emotional about the topic you simply are not understanding what you are reading.

You may call that hypocrisy, I think you are not correct, and that is not what I would call it. I would call it he has his own football opinions on what he looks for in a QB, and Trey fits that, and BP / JG don't.

I would rather have Brock all day. I hope he becomes more than Jimmy. I'm not totally sold that he will be yet.

I was saying dont look at it because you said I was cherry picking the stat. Then I said dont pay attention to it and just look at ppg if you prefer that.

I dont think Brock needs to "become" better than Jimmy. He IS better. I do however have reservations if he will ever become elite or if he can truly recover from his injury.

Not settle for safe, and you have identified BP as safe, you have said you want the arm talent, that's TL.. we all get it. I am actually on your side here, I don't view that as hypocritical, and you don't have to pretend a stance you don't have. You have an opinion on what makes an NFL QB, what you are looking for, that's being able to put the ball downfield, and put it in tight windows with velo. That's a perfectly legit opinion to me.

It's natural for fans to have different opinion on players, we all have different opinions on what good football is, and what it is supposed to look like out there.
I don't think you are rooting against any of our guys, you just have a preference, is my reading of your stuff, based on your philosophy of the game.

I think we are all the same way. It's football opinions, you're not supposed to view all guys as equally beneficial to the club, some guys are better than others, some guys more fit a certain style of play, etc. And you don't have a forum if ppl don't have different ways of viewing, understanding the game, and discussing.

You don't want the best QB to start. You want who you feel has the highest potential to start. Your opinion is clearly that that player is Lance on this team.

It is effectively the exact same thing as what Tankle is saying.

No doubt. Do think you undersell Purdys potential ability a little too much because of pure physical ability. Brock had enough physical talent to get things done. It's conceivable that whatever Brock lacks in physical ability vis a vis Trey he makes up for in his ability to process and play make with his escapability.

I think he has a real shot at it, if he can demonstrate he's a different guy here. I am encouraged watching his game, from what I've seen. I cannot say I am encouraged by Lance's game yet, outside of some good velo vs CHI on a couple deep crossers, and some vertical stuff in preseason, and I feel he moved well in the pocket at times.

I do feel TL can level up quite a bit this offseason, and we would be better as a squad if he does. Own the moment Trey.

Well I've never been encouraged by Darnolds game and I see him as a Blaine Gabbert type rehab project. Hope they can really do that this year and he never plays a snap. Best thing for him would be to sit and learn.

Haven't seen enough from Trey to be encouraged or discouraged.
