What's disingenuous is not understanding how bad his knee is…grade 3 torn ACL. There's a reason why DC didn't tag him. The sack totals just shows a little context into his career thus far. I'll take the QB with two yrs left and who's finally healthy vs a guy they have no clue about regarding his health.

like I said this team has question marks at QB not answers. Just my opinion that's all

TL train already left the station and he wasn't on it... best he can do is fight for QB2, but he has to beat out Sammy and that will be a difficult task as SD has much more experience and talent... his next best opportunity for TL is battle with Brandon Allen for the QB3, Allen is an experience vet who has comparable regular season stats over many more games and TL will have his hands full to beat him out to hold the clipboard...

Go to bed

John Lynch said that, if healthy, Brock was qb 1 and that he'd earned it? C'mon man, I've been on the Trey bus since very early on, but there's no point in ignoring the reality of the situation. Trey has a huge hill to climb to get the starting job back, and I personally think Lynch is speaking the truth. It's not a knock on Lance either, he's just had some bad injury luck at the worst time for a young qb. I just hope that if he can't win the job back that they try to get him in any games we have a comfortable lead in so he can get the reps under live fire to build his value, or to further hone his skills in order to compete for the starting job next year. I want a controversy if not this year, then for sure next year. It's good for the team. I don't even begin to understand any talk of trading him this year under any circumstances, we burn through qb's too fast, and our right side of the offensive line still scares me a bit.

He said brock was the leader in the club house. What are you even arguing? I've said he's earned that right. I've said none of these guys have a long leash or should be declared s**t regardless. Lance or Sam look great in camp while Brock can't play then they should play even if Brock is healthy enough WK1. We don't have a pro-bowl in his prime QB that's makes $200M. That position is pretty damn fluid given the landscape across the league.

this time last yr it was the FO being all in on Lance. That narrative changes awful quick in this league and you'd think 49er fans would know that by now.

Kyle said it would be very hard for him to surpass Brock

This is a good take on the QB situation, I'll buy what you are sellin'

you'd rather have a back up QB rather than a potential star edge rusher who can play? Bruh
so now they tell us that TL sucked because he had a broken finger that didn't heal properly, and the wet weather
3 years later and now he brings up a finger injury I still believe in Lance but that seems strange

I think with our past experiences regarding players with health flags, Young's knee alone would simply have us turn the page on that idea.

That's why we haven't extended Nick Bosa.

the finger is a bit of a ? for me

we had an Aug 2022 article, where TL is deemed 100%, and KS is on record saying he was glad to have TL fully healthy at the start of that years offseason.

I don't know why we are still dealing with the finger, or mentioning it.. is that article false, the article mentions the finger didn't heal right, and took time get to 100%, and TL is now 100% healthy, in 2022

this is the very old article, which is now new or breaking news for some reason, if someone can elaborate or clarify what is going on here

not being able to straighten the finger all the way doesn't impact throwing the football... unless your name is TL. you have to bend your finger to grip the ball, when the ball leaves the hand the wrist is snapped and the finger doesn't have to straighten out to properly spin it... just more smoke and cover

I am more asking the question, if there are KS quotes showing the finger is healed in 2022, why are we getting breaking news that the finger is finally fully healed, in 2023?

the above article talks about the finger not healing correct, giving problems all of 2021, and healed '100%' in 2022, by the start of that offseason
