Feel like it would be pretty difficult to throw a football when you can't bend your index finger. Meanwhile we got people crying about a football not being the worlds tightest spiral lol.

And he still made some nice throws with his finger still compromised. Real excited to see his accuracy improve now

Agree, Trey is finally 💯% healthy. I'm also surprised people aren't talking about how great a relationship Trey and Brock have. I think the fact that they have a great friendship (because Brock said so, and because I haven't heard any stories of rancor from Mr. Cone about any facts speaking to that) is going to be great for Trey's intangibles development. Or at least, I think so.

I think one of the factors in Steve Young's slow development was the lack of a good relationship between Joe and Steve when Steve was backing Joe up during the dynasty years. I think Brock can accelerate Trey's development because they can talk more reads and coverages as each plays the game this offseason. Basically, I see Brock as possibly being a great tutor of the offense for Trey and will get him up to speed and erase the experience gap between them this offseason. I think Trey will surprise a lot of people with his jump in development this offseason. He's basically (from an experience standpoint) between his first and 2nd year. The typical 2nd year jump might come sooner because of Brock's tutoring Trey. Just as Trey helped Brock get up to speed during Brock's rookie year, I think Brock will be a big factor in Trey's intangibles development this year if things remain good with their relationship. We shall see.

If Trey starts sucking can easily just replace w Brock.

I will put my money where my mouth is... I will start a sports betting account and bet 1k that Trey goes 4-0 if he starts the season and plays those games vs those opponents in normal weather conditions.. Dallas is a different story.

That's the thing with Trey: unlike Brock, he needs everything to go his way for him to have a chance to succeed.

But everything went Brock's way (until the elbow), so how can you say "unlike Brock"?

Lol, not it didn't.

Cam has 500 pass attempts in college when you factor in his year at JUCO, where he dominated and won everything.

Dude who cares about JUCO snaps? He was 5 star recruit at 6-5 235lbs. He was a 20 yr old beating up on community college programs there. Bravo.

Let's stop trying to make this a cam vs Lance debate. It's not. He played minimal football come into the NFL. He played on an offense that was in no shape comparable to a NFL offense at Auburn.

we get it Lance doesn't have a million reps under his belt. We've had this convo over and over before he was even taken here. It's why he needs to play.

Not only what you said, but Cam was recruited as a qb, and the reason Trey went to division 1-AA NDSU is because the division 1-A schools that offered him a scholarship wanted to move him to safety.

He got an offer from Boise State to play QB. He turned it down because he already committed to NDSU.

You can't knock his reps at a JUCO and then think FCS reps mean anything for Lance. Reps are reps. I'm hoping that his time in this system over there last 2+ systems helps him get up to speed quickly. Even though it isn't live reps, besides some in training camp, it should be familiar to him at this point

outside of Brock not being able to play, I think we only see Lance in trick packages. Similar to what Kyle did with Jimmy but should be much more effective with a guy like Purdy who has one mobility

this was due to the Zach Wilson domino, Wilson backed out to BYU, so Boise reached out to TL

No, reps are not reps. Being the #2 QB recruit in the nation and playing vs community colleges like Trinity Valley Community College and Tyler Junior College is not in the same realm as playing D1 FCS.

That's a bunch of baloney.

He had to come in with no starting reps against the Dolphins, then had to play against Tom Brady his first start, not Justin Fields. Had to come back against the Raiders when the defense collapsed and they got down by 10 on the road. If you think Brock had everything go his way, you are just flat out wrong. Just because he made it look easier than Trey due to his understanding of the game bring more advanced doesn't mean he had everything go his way.

And? It was a D1 program that wanted him. s**t happens all the time in recruiting. He could have left and stuck by the team that wanted him from day 1.

That doesn't stop players from switching commitments, they do it all the time.

Uh, why not? JUCO is a significantly lower level of competition than FCS.
