he's infatuated with cousins for some reason and it cost us either mahommes or Allen. That's the best guy he's ever drafted.

I'm gonna go on record to say Kyle is putrid at picking QBs. I'm sure Adam Peters found Purdy.

That would be perfect! Draft Bergeron RT and the team is better immediately.

Felix Anudike-Uzomah would be my pick

I'm curious how mckivitz looks. We need to get two good young quality guys to eventually take over both spots

It was peters and Griese who pounded the table for Him. They wanted him over the other late round guys. They're a big reason we actually drafted him and didn't try to nab him in UDFA

for the record, I love Kyle as our HC. Just not at pounding the table for guys. Hahah

I think Sam can run things, however, listening to KS he says check back in June on BP. So that doesn't give confidence he will even be back for 2023. Or maybe, mid to late season. Who knows exactly? So with BP not known on when he is returning, it's hard for me to see KS part with TL, until that return of BP is more clear. So maybe if a TL trade happens, it's midseason or at the trade deadline, once BP is back. I'd be a lil stunned otherwise.

He said June because that's when when Brock can start throwing

Yup in June we will have more info on if it will be a short or longer recovery. Prob is draft is in April. So he will be effectively moving TL while in the dark on BP. That's the part that gives me pause to think he would do that. I would be surprised if he did it.

Can't start Trey Lance because its a win now team but starting a guy whos failed on two teams for multiple weeks makes perfect sense.

Ah that's right! It was slowIk. I felt like I was missing something. Lol thanks for posting that

I like that article and it reminds the Griese presumably had a big role here. I think a big reason for the addition of Griese was to address a bit of a blind spot for KS. Good to have guys who played the position imo.

Regardless who ends up QB3 - that's a lot. Lol cheapest starting qb in the league and then most expensive back ups in the league. Hahha

Isn't that kinda the point? Like, we've had so many injuries at the QB position in recent years. And yet a lot of people want to make the signing of Darnold an indictment on Trey. When in reality, and all 49ers fans have seen this first hand, we've strengthened a group that needs bodies. But no… Kyle doesn't think Trey can be a backup… lol.

Lets put it this way, if Kyle doesn't think Trey can be a QB2, we should fire him/remove him from anything draft related.

Not sure how you gathered all that. I repeatedly said I don't mind if people don't think highly of Lance and the trade up.

I'll continue to comment on the inconsistencies i've seen from posters... whether or not you believe in Lance or Kyle's drafting is irrelevant to me.

I'm not saying darnold is a great option or anything, but if I was kyle - it's probably easier to put together an effective gameplay for Darnold in comparison to Lance because he's a more known product - pros/cons. So he can scheme to that and away from what he is bad at.

if both are on the roster and Purdy isn't back, I'd just go off of who has a better camp. Playing darnold over Lance will tank lances stock even further, though. I just
hope that we win if either are playing.

I get what you're saying, but if they don't view Trey as a long term solution and feel that Sam can fill in as good or better then the situation isn't as dire as you're making it. They could still add a backup for SD in the Meantime.

But again, this is all based off how they truly feel about Sam and/or Brock. We'll find out soon enough

Maybe I'm mixing you up with someone else. If so, I apologize.

I think we will still draft someone again in the late round for a camp body and because Kyle likes having young prospects on the roster to develop.

we may just be spending a bunch on QB2/3 because we have the ability with the cheap contracts and they're insurance, with no intention of trading Lance. Very real possibility.

The plan is to roll with Brock when he's healthy. Darnold and Lance can compete in the meantime, and if one or the other shows something great in the process... fantastic. Their primary purpose is to keep the seat warm.

But that isn't what is being suggested. It's trade him before the draft.
