This in no way a knock on Brock he also has my full support, and I also want to see him be the best he can be. If he is completely healthy it is the right move to give him the inside track at QB1, and it's up Trey to develop to change that. I think if both were to develop, it would only be a good thing for the organization. I just refuse to pick a side as I see it as one team. As for who starts? I'm good with leaving that to John and Kyle. Okay, I'll get off the soapbox now lol.

Seems reasonable.

What doesn't seem reasonable is trading up and spending 3 first round picks on a developmental prospect (which you knew was a project going in) and then not making an actual effort to develop said project.
We're not going to know anything until the season starts.

Since he will be getting a lion share of the reps this off season - anxious to see how he looks.

i wanna see how he looks when A) not playing in a monsoon B) has george kittle C) has CMC

He's working with Quincy Avery in ATL. Avery works with Watson/hurts as well. I'm sure Lance will also be in south CA working at 3DQB as well (John Beck/house and Co.)

Dude! This would be 5x worse than Vernon Davis and Trey Lance combined
between now and the draft is Lynch's window to get maximum trade value for TL, 2nd rounder is a pipe dream, conditional future 3rd is likely.... I think Jonny's comments mean that he is open for business in regards to a trade... if they wait until training camp when Purdy is back taking snaps TL's trade value plummets and we get nothing for him

Thanks NY. Those names helped cause I wanted to read up on them.

watson is probably the only qb in the league I hope fails. 1. Eff him 2. Eff the browns for that dumb contract

No accuracy = no development. It really is that simple.

Don't let the FO off the hook for things that were known before they drafted him.

I have a feeling this gets done. I smell a 2nd this year. A 2nd-4th next year that has potential to be a 1st

If you're not an accurate qb, the odds of you becoming elite is very slim. I've always felt that way and I don't want a qb where you have to rely on their legs.

maybe I'm old school but I like my qb to play qb and not option back. Lol I don't want someone who is a decent passer and decent runner - essentially running wildcat every play.

Love Kolohe, but he's about as bias and emotional as it comes in here…he will admit it at least.

I honestly hate to be this guy, but I see this all the time from you and want to give you a hand.

You should be throwing an 'ed' at the end of that word. He's biased.

He can have a bias, or he can be biased. Plural would be biases.

I thought I was the only one. This drives me NUTS. "You are bias" makes me shake my head so much it hurts my neck.

I've lost my stuff a number of times about this—including here. Bias is a noun. Biased is an adjective.

are we talking trading Trey?

I just don't see it. We got him under contract. The contract is cheap for a QB in the starting conversation. He has 2023, 2024, 2025 (option), that's a lot of time here for us to see what he can become. Plus if BP is out week 1, you would be starting Darnold almost by default and some rando as QB2 would dress for the opener.

Mistakes happen! Look at Solomon Thomas and Kinlaw! So we bet the farm and lost? Get a third rounder for Trey and move on. It sucks but it happens!

We found gold in the 7th round with Purdy so some of the pain has been eradicated.
