Whomever is healthy and plays well, wins the job...until he's hurt again. LOL

I mean lance got his shot because the team spent 3 1sts on him. Jimmy would have been traded if healthy, he got to f**k us one more time there lol.

I agree with everything else lol. I don't believe in the Brock gets a full season to stink it up before the make a change there either. IMO this QB stuff will be fluid until someone takes the reins for good. 6 games isn't a large enough sample size either way imo.

I can't say how much this mentality risks not just our results this season but in future years too. We want a completely conservative philosophy in bring brock back. DO NOT bring him back until its proven he can come back by multiple doctors and with incremental work on the field.

The problem with dumping jimmy is that we gave up our insurance policy to let Brock ease his way back in while maintaining good results. Oh well que sera sera. Our decision can't be used to condone rash medical decisions.

I would put Brock on a snap count AND a throw count, both for preseason and for live action. Don't mess with him AT ALL.

My 2c.

There's no doubt they'll be extra conservative here. But if he's 100% healthy and he's worked his arm up to NFL scrutiny for game 1, but all means.

Lance was drafted because Jimmy couldn't stay healthy. Lynch confirmed that. Of course there are other reasons too but that's where it all started.

And the cycle continues...just a different name.

Fluid is right. IF Trey ceases the opportunity and balls out while being extra cautious with Brock's rehab, Kyle doesn't give AF who's name happens to be on the back of the jersey.

I mean they can say that all they want and it was part of it or sure, but you can tell they wanted more hence why he was the pick and not Jimmy 2.0 aka Mac Jones. IMO I don't think they were ever gonna give him an extension.

We will find out what happens….

People just shouldn't hang on public comments by team officials as if they are the gospel truth. Those comments should be analyzed in conjunction with the actions the team takes.

There's very little doubt they wanted to move on from Jimmy because of his level of play in conjunction with his ability to stay healthy. But there's absolutely no advantage in acknowledging that publicly, especially when they're shopping for trade offers.

Given Lynch said the exact same thing recently about Trey, I'd say it's pretty accurate. And if Brock gets another injury he'll say it about him too.

As to the talent level beyond that, I'm sure there was far more to it than that but it certainly started with the up/down health.

If Brock isn't ready then he's not ready. I think he will be. I think Mullens is the only other example with the internal brace so he wouldn't be breaking any records. You guys are very opposed to any suggestion that Brock could be ready

You've very opposed to the idea that Brock has a very good chance of not being ready WK1…like many doctors have stated. You won't even accept the fact that Lance will be taking damn near every first team rep all through every camp this off season. You act like that doesn't matter, when in reality it does.

Brock played well when given the opportunity. He isn't prime Rogers who will be handed back the starting gig no matter what. Lance will have his opportunity through camp and more than likely WK1. Brock's focus isn't playing right now, it's getting healthy and going from there. Pretending you know the outcome of his recovery is fake news. We all hope for the best and I'm sure he will be fine when he's ready…whenever that will be. Until then be a fan of the team by supporting Lance. I know that hard for you, but having two good QBs is a positive.

Dude you're the one telling people who they can discuss lol. Those are the actions of someone that thinks they know Brock's timeline. I have never attacked anybody like that for thinking Brock might not be ready, you're just way over the top (and out of line) telling people they can't discuss Brock as a potential week 1 starter

Kyle doesn't agree, or we wouldn't be here.

You're the one that hates Lance and is in here 24/7 talking about it.

He's not as bad as you think.
Kyle ain't going to start Brock week one unless he can beat out both Trey and Darnold this offseason. Now is he gonna do that in three days right prior to the season?

Nope

So Trey will get the nod week one

Silly that this even needs to be said. I don't understand why people would be against it, even if Purdy was the undisputed QB1, fans should be rallying behind him knowing Purdy won't be ready by week 1.

How did Jimmy f**k us??? If they wanted to get rid of him so badly they should've just released him. Yup they're lucky they didn't, Jimmy saved the 49ers season when Lance got injured. Now how is that f**king the 9ers again?? If anything its the 9ers who f**ked Jimmy.

Trey Lance will get the nod and will be handed the job again. After all they got to see what they have in Lance, enough whining about it already you say the same s**t over and over again.
