BS statistics to fit a narrative. No reason to believe trey won't take a leap? Just look at the picture of his throwing motion on the front page of the zone. Dude is walking like an Egyptian.

Trey Lance under center seems to make your blood boil

Hurts and Allen took years to be what they are. By that time we will have to pay Lance and we won't have this roster. Then he'll need to be Mahomes. Are you willing to bet on that?

I sure am. Kyle and John are too! Couldn't you tell by the draft picks given to get him?

Lets face it, Kyle and John don't always make the right decision when it comes to the 1st round. lol

They've done more bad than good when it comes to the 1st round.

Solomon Thomas
Reuben Foster
Mike McGlinchey - Good run blocker, meh pass blocker looks like a 4th round pick
Javon Kinlaw

2 and 4 in the 1st round.

I know what you mean. Fans complain so much about not having a first round pick this year and last year like we would have gotten 2 pro bowl players with them. Both of those picks are late 1st rounders and most drafts drop off in talent after the top 15 or 20. Late 1st rounders aren't much different than 2nd or even high 3rd rounders in many cases.

Until we know for sure if Trey is going to be any good, we can't really evaluate the trade. If he doesn't work out then he was just another in a long line of 1st round busts in the NFL.

Basically his take is saying Trey will be good is wishful thinking.

Well Duh...

I mean that's true for any damn player lol. Brock being Joe Montana is wishful thinking but we got people thinking that's gonna happen. He's got just as good a chance being Case Keenum like Lance has being Jordan love.

people thought Jimmy was gonna be Tony Romo or Brady after 2017. Kap was gonna be Randall Cunningham or Vick both got paid and it never got to that.

there's always gonna be a high upside of what a player could be…same is true the other way as well….Until they prove otherwise over a large sample size.
Please support your claim where a poster has claimed Brock Purdy will be Joe Montana.

I know I've seen posts where people say he reminds them of Montana. I've seen some sports writers say it too. I don't think they're saying he's as good. Just saying that he has some of Joe's field vision.

I know. That's a reasonable assessment. NY is just using my words from before to build the straw man that people here are calling Purdy the 2nd coming of Joe just because his tape has reminded some people of Joe or other really great QBs. Saying who he played like over a given period of time, does not mean he is that person. Joe Flacco played like Joe Montana in the 2012 playoffs, but no one thinks that means people are calling him Joe Montana.

Funny because all I've been hearing was that Brock was awful in TC lol.

A 7th round rookie makes the team over the backup they paid for by playing bad? Doesn't make any sense

He wasn't good if you remember all the camp reports. Sure as s**t wasn't playing like he was in seasons. Reporters guess on rosters (before Jimmy restructured) haha Sudfield as the backup. Once Jimmy resigned he was expendable.

lets stop trying to rewrite history.

I liked what I saw with Brock. He was winning like Joe. Until the injury

I ain't saying nobody is Joe other than Brady but I'm sure Joe liked what he was seeing outta Brock Purdy even if he's been advocating for Jimmy G

You said he looked like prime Montana. I disagree that's all. You're not the only one tossing out that stuff. I could say he looked like prime Case Keenum (2017 season) but that's not fun 🙃

Mike McGlinchey looked like prime Joe Thomas vs the raiders this yr. Should we have a discussion about it?

He was winning like a lot of QBs win. My whole point is grabbing the GOAT and saying that's who he's looked like is a bit much. I mean why not Tony Romo, prime Keenum, prime Chad Pennington or prime Jeff Garcia?

It is cringe worthy. Perhaps it was his poise and command on the field and especially since he was a rookie on a team with high expectations. I love the way Brock acquitted himself but Montana was a 4 time champ HOFer. Brock has LONG odds to be Montana

I just want him to get healthy because if he can build upon last year, he can certainly add to our QB room

I loved all it too…it's just a bit much imo. It's all subjective of course. Everyone is entitled to their opinion there.

Not true. I want closure. I want to know. It's he or isn't he. He should start.

Let's be thankful we don't have any first round picks to throw away this year.

As for Lance, I think we should all remain patient and hope he lives up to his draft expectations of 3 first round picks or this place could get ugly.
