Plus stay healthy. Show some speed too. Because Fields does. But he doesn't.
Since he's done those things, I'm assuming you need to see some amount of those things?

He hasn't done it this year he didn't get a single TD![]()
SD is pretty fair from what I have seen if TL starts winning and producing on the regular I imagine he would come around quick same with a lot of folks

He hasn't done those things. LOL. These guys should really watch the games. They are so desperate to give him more wins they even try to count 1 extra game where he got knocked out very early. Jimmy G stepped in and WON the game. You have to FINISH for it to count as a win. Trey Lance won 1 game in his career. Houston Texans. That's it. 1 game. He will be a 3rd year player next year. Let that sink in.

I've watched every game. And his performance was decent, not terrible but not great. Similar to Jimmy.
He's 2-2 as a starter. Usually you counts "Starts", so he doesn't get the loss vs. SEA in 2021 but he gets the win vs. SEA in 2022. But his injury history is very concerning at this point. My confidence in his ability to prove this trade successful is now much smaller than it was before this injury. With Lance, I think we'd be around what we're at now (4-4). I also assume he'd improve over the season, but that's on hold until next year.
He must show it next season or there will be heads that roll... unless they win the SB this year, and then Lance becomes an afterthought.

He hasn't shown anything to be better than Jimmy G. Nothing at all. He's not even as good as Justin Fields at this point.
We disagree, which isn't important.
For you, what would Lance need to do to change your mind?

Not be on this team, don't even go back and forth with that fool. He's been calling Lance a bust the moment Goodell called his name

We agree Jimmy can't finish. What will it take for Lance to change your mind? A SB win? Better stats than Jimmy? More wins in a season than Jimmy?

Jimmy can finish. I've seen him finish seasons.
Lance can start with this.
* Exceed 2 NFC Championships. (Jimmy G has done that many)
* Exceed 1 Super Bowl (Jimmy G has been to one)
* Be as good or better in winning percentage (Jimmy G has one of the best in the entire league)
* Finish seasons. Stop being so injured.

Ok. That wasn't that hard. I agree. He needs to do those things. Some can't be accomplished in one season, but at a minimum, Lance should get to playoffs and be formidable next season. And if not, I'm open to looking elsewhere, depending on how he looks.

We gotta look elsewhere now imo. Bring back JG or a equivalent current starter type. TL can compete with that guy.

Personally I doubt it will work out. 3rd year player next year. 1 win in games he FINISHED. Hasn't played in 3 years. 2 pros and 1 College. Or largely hasn't played. Rarely if ever in sports history will you see something like that work out. But I guess this could be the 1st time.
