Still salty eh

Still delusional eh?

About what? Man, you're miserable. This should be an exciting time for Niner fans

why? Because I'm not ready to crown a kid who played in North effing Dakota against a bunch of nobodies the next Steve Young like everyone else? I have my opinion on him and there's nothing some Internet forum anonymous can say to change that. But they'll be plenty of time for him to do that whenever he sees the field, but it won't be this year unless Jimmy gets hurt

I have no idea if Lance will be the QB we want or if he'll be a bust. Whichever way it turns out, they were right to move up and take him. Sometimes you need to take a chance on something or you go through life wondering about what could have been.

Kyle knows he could probably go his entire career with QBs like Jimmy or Cousins. Guys that are reliable (when they're playing) but not spectacular. They make occasional good plays and a few bad ones but rarely any that have defenses wondering how he pulled that one off. He could have been conservative and stayed with that type but when his career was over he would have been left wondering how good his offense might have been with a more dynamic QB threat. They took the chance and now he'll find out. If it doesn't work then at least he'll know that he's better off with a QB like Jimmy. If he does work out then the league is in trouble.

Rarely does a first round talent QB bust when the are drafted by legit contenders.

I think that's a big reason why Wilson or Brady didn't bust.

Jimmy's issue is not that he's a bad teammate - it's that he can't stay on the field.

If he's ready why wont shanhan give him the keys?

...bc coaches - like to treat shiny new QBs with kids gloves. They think it somehow helps their development if they sit for a while. That works for some QBs - it doesn't work for some. Hope Shanahan doesn't follow the typical mold and trusts what he is seeing on the practice field and in preseason games.

imo Lance needs to play this season and the earlier he plays - the better it will be for not only the future of this team but for this year as well.
HE doesn't need to play. He hasn't even felt top tier college speed. Let him get acclimated first.. then maybe towards the end of season he can get reps

And he will get acclimated by sitting on the bench? This is exactly why he needs to play so he can get acclimated as soon as possible.

Look - he was drafted bc he's extremely intelligent and a very quick learner. So I expect him to learn a good chunk of playbook Kyle will throw at him.

And he probably was doing everything we asked of him back then. Then he stopped so we've replaced him.

Yeah, he's regressed since '17.

Yes, sitting worked wonders for QBs.

All QBs are intelligent and quick learning, then they step onto a NFL field and s**t goes bad.

What is your opinion on him and did you want to draft or bring in a possible future FQB?

He will learn the playbook and get familiar with the way practice and game weeks work while getting practice reps. I think it will help prepare him.

When we traded for Jimmy he came in, we went undefeated and had the best offense in yards gained per drive in the NFL after being one of the worst in that category.

If Trey Lance can replicate early Jimmy...while adding the things that Jimmy physically couldn't do then we'd be in terrific shape.

Kittle drafting his own rookies now? I love that guy.

Can't wait to see Lance to Kittle connection on the regular. I'm think the Kelce > Kittle crowd is going to do some serious soul searching when they realize what happens when George is unleashed with a QB with few limitations and other receiving threats out there on the field with him...or when he's not forced to stay in to pass protect cuz our OL can't do it on their own.
Lance is gonna be sick
