Yeah, he's throwing much tighter spirals now.
that's tbd
he was tossing wobblers before he hurt his finger as well
Not really - he had no issues in college or prior to the injury of throwing wobblers .
Is Christian Watson the biggest riser in the draft so far?
— Leo Luna (@LeoLuna93) March 4, 2022
Idk if he's still there at #61 for the 49ers. As you can see, the fit is seamless. Oh yeah, Watson used to catch passes w/ "that guy" Trey Lance in college. pic.twitter.com/iA3j4tFQxj
NDSU had a dominant running game in 2019 and it allowed Trey Lance to find his comfort zone. Big reason why he operates so well off of play action/quick shotgun fakes too.

Outstanding deep accuracy. pic.twitter.com/WVVHUwMpbt
touch/perfect spiral
18 yard comeback with pressure in his face....dart
I can't tell you how impossibly good that is. As someone who scouts WRs I see a LOT of college QBs.@treylance09 is rare. FCS, FBS, P5, whatever.

That's an 18-yard comeback rolling to his off-hand through contact delivered to position "A". pic.twitter.com/s12mW8weUc
Some preseason (preinjury)
That touch…. This was a preseason game in August, 2021. Trey Lance was blitzed early on and bounced back to win. #49ers #FTTB pic.twitter.com/hoT0FL1w1J

Trey Lance is ready to put on a show in his last preseason game.

Has the #49ers QB earned the Week 1 starting job?pic.twitter.com/CMBAtE3k60
Oh and some from his pro-day. No wobble there

I stated that I never noticed this with him in college. But he was throwing wobblers before his finger injury. Again, hopefully he works it out. With ideal conditions it doesn't matter much but if it's windy or raining, it definitely does. Not to mention a tighter spiral is a more catchable ball.

Why on Earth would we spend 3 ones on a game manager we could have kept all the ones and gotten Davis Mills if we wanted that. TL is a game changer.
I've used the Russell Wilson comparison before. He was a game manager early in his career. He won a SB as a game manager on the strength of his run game and defense.
He developed into a HOF level QB with time. Trey being a game manager this year doesn't mean he's a game manager for his career. Brady was a game manager early in his career as well. It's not a career defining thing.
Starting as a game manager is actually a good way to develop into a game changer if you have the talent, which Trey does.

Nothing wrong with being a game manager as long as you can also be a big play maker when needed during crunch time.

Every QB throws wobblers every once in a while. He most certainly wasn't doing at the consistency that some people in here are touting pre-injury.

Manning used to do that quite often. He's made fun of himself plenty of times for his wobblers.
Don't freak out now and think that I'm comparing Lance to Manning, point is you can still be great and not throw a perfect spiral every time

Jimmy threw a few wobblers and still won about %75 of his games and got to a superbowl and two NFC championship games. It's a non issue if the ball gets to where it needs to be on time. Can't wait until we get to see him in action so we can see what we have at quarterback.

Not as easy to catch. In less than ideal conditions, accuracy suffers greatly.
