get rid of jimmy before pre season.. keeping jimmy cuz you are afraid trey will get hurt is silly in my opinion
Didn't Trey hurt himself twice last season without hardly playing?
Yea Trey might get hurt so let's keep around the 27 million dollar QB who tore a ligament leaving the pocket or just last year, had a calf injury without anyone actually making contact with him. Sounds like a great insurance policy.

Let it be the worst injury he has to deal with in his career.
The finger injury was a fluke and kind of crazy how many finger injuries happened to QBs last year. The knee injury was definitely on Kyle for that game plan. I'm hopeful and confident we won't see another game where we see that many designed run to Trey.
The finger was an obscure injury I agree, but blaming the knee injury on Kyle is pulling.. He was clunky last season, Excited but I'm not holding my breath for a Herbert/Mahomes
I've been on the Lance train since the day we made the trade to #3. I specifically locked onto a scouting report suggest that he could grow, add some weight, and be a Big Ben-type physical presence.
I was disappointed last year when we didn't just go with the rookie, but that's immaterial now. All reports, highlights, and interviews I've seen make it seem like he's having a great offseason. I'm extremely pleased with his trajectory.
I suspect he'll have a good, not great year, but this team will win lots of games because it has elite players at premium positions.
I'm feeling very, very encouraged. As I suspect Shanahan and Lynch are. Trey having the a good year (and specifically better than other 2021 QBs) would be huge for them.

Don't see anywhere in my post where I anointed him the next Herbert/Mahomes. Trey still has a long way to match their pass attempts past high school if he starts this whole season. Pretty sure both guys had over 1000 pass attempts in college while Trey had slightly over 300.
And Kyle drawing up so many designed run plays for that game definitely didn't help him stay healthy. That's why he should get some blame. Yea you drafted Trey to use his legs so draw up some but he was basically our lead back in that game. Cannot have that.
