Can't throw with touch.

Effortless. Some will dismiss it as just preseason, but he made a similar throw to Deebo against Seattle in the regular that ended up being a 76 yard TD.

Haters want to point to his lack of experience, yet in preseason and 2.5 regular season games, he made well over a dozen elite throws that QBs like Jimmy G or Mac Jones will never make in their entire careers.

Jimmy would've thrown it to the open middle line backer.

To show the 10 yard gap with the ball closing. Lol I really have to explain this? The safety wasn't close. This was a simple throw from an NFL standpoint. What do you suppose the announcer meant with "wide open"?

Credit to Trey as he hit it but it was an average throw.

I'll take an average throw over a below-average are 6 days a week and twice on Sundays. Glad to know we're moving on from a failed project.

5 yards open is not a touch pass. That is wide open in NFL standards. Like WIIIIDE open.

Anyways no big deal, he hit the throw. I'm not trying to bring down Trey I'm just pointing out facts. Trey hit a good throw so all credit to him.

Uhhhh,....no. The underlined things aren't facts at all. They're just your interpretation of things because you want someone else to be the starter.

Sorry guys but the touch thread is somewhere else.

Never seen this much discussion of what a touch pass is…

PS: it has nothing to do with a tight window/coverage.

He has no clue what he's talking about as usual. Like Genus just said, a touch pass has nothing to do with how open a player is. Can't believe that even has to be said.

You never explain yourself because you can't but tell me how this requires touch. Lol it's wide open. Or just disappear after getting your daily me obsession fix at 8 in the morning like always. How is throwing to a wide open guy with about 17 yards window a touch pass? It doesn't get much more wide open than this, yet you guys are claiming this required touch lol.

Thx.

Dude get over it. Touch doesn't have anything to do with hitting a tight window. Guys can be wide open, guarded super close or whatever else there is and the throw can come with touch.

Touch impacts timing, ease of making the catch and yes typically used when the QB has to get the ball over defenders.

Throwing that with touch ensures the ball gets over the underneath defenders and drops into where his WR is expected to be. This isn't rocket science. There are way more complex things to this sport than what a touch pass means and why QBs use it even when guys are "wide open"

Exactly. I'll breakdown a better touch pass here when I get the chance as I've said Lance can throw with touch but just hitting a wide open guy isn't it.
Welp my gampass isn't working so I'll just use this one. I posted this yesterday and everyone ignored it purposely because they know I was right.

Watch the all 22 angle. He has to "feather" as was the initial claim that is touch the ball over Wagner all while having two DB's within catching distance. This requires anticipation, and the ability to feather it over a defender into a tight window. This is touch. It's not a bullet but it get there quick but also has enough ark(feather) to hit the area where only Kittle can catch it. This is touch... Not throwing to a 17 yard window.

This thread is cracking me up. Of course he can throw with touch. Of course he can be accurate. You can find clips demonstrating both. It's about being consistent.

The topic shouldn't be if he can or can't. It should be about when/if he can be consistent doing it.

Only one way to find out.

That was ugly

But as I keep saying, every qb is going to have highlights of beautiful passes and terrible passes. The issue is consistency. Can trey get to a point where these type of passes to kittle are few and far between? I really need to see the great on a regular basis. I'm hoping to see ot this year. What I don't like seeing in this thread are the same 2 or 3 great passes by trey to prove he's great. It doesn't work that way.

Try dumbing down even more, he still doesn't understand.
