True, Kittle was out for the Arizona game. I wasn't really making a point about Lance, just pointing out that's it not true to say that the Shanahan QBs besides Jimmy weren't able to win with Kittle, Deebo, and Aiyuk, because they never played with them. Lance is currently undefeated with those 3 guys on the field, let's hope it remains like that.

He's 22, which can be lost in lots of these conversations. He's still younger than many of the QBs in this draft.

NDSU Backup QB Quincy Patterson (4 star transfer from VA Tech) just hit the portal due to getting beat out by a redshirt freshman.
Its not easy getting to #1 QB at NDSU.

See any quarterback during the Shanahan era besides Garoppolo. You can have all the right pieces and the right coaching but you still need the right guy behind center. I think every 49ers fan that isn't a determined masochist is hoping Lance is that guy but until we see him on the field for an extended period of time, its impossible to know.

having a top defense also helped the years Jimmy did good.
