Do you guys think Lynch and Kyle's jobs are hitched to Tray Lance's success?

I've been back and forth with this idea. I think no honestly at least at this point. If he doesn't hit though there will be mounting pressure from the fans and media, barring other unforeseen circumstances.
I will say I wouldn't want Kyle's job attached to the success of Trey Lance. Personnel decision making sure. In reality it's probably a packaged deal.

That weaker competition argument is still the laziest there is. Jerry Rice played against weak competition at Mississippi Valley State. What a dumb idea to trade up for such an unproven prospect.

I think for sure they're attached to Trey's success.

Probably the safer bet.

No, unless Jed is dumb enough to fire Kyle at any point in the next decade. You´re not gonna find a HC like that on the market.
And Jed seems to be pretty happy to let Kyle run the team.

We're not going to give him the softball treatment that Jimmy received for the first 3-4 years?
You're onto something.

Is KS ready? Ready to open it up? Only one who can stop Trey now is KS.

Trey is ready. Kyle Shanahan has expressed his confidence in him and the Jimmy fanboys are shaking in their boots. They know the end is near. They are grasping on to straws at this point.
Trey will receive all 1st team reps in OTA's and TC. The offense installed will be one that leans more towards Trey's set of skills. Trey would have to look unconfident and incompetent in OTA's and TC for Shanahan to change his mind. Because even if Trey shows that he can perform at Jimmy's level, which he already has, you have to go with Trey who has a higher ceiling to grow even though Jimmy has more experience. On top of that. If Jimmy is going to be competing for the job, he will be late from the start and he would have to beat out Trey. Not the other way around.
This argument that Trey isn't ready because they went with Jimmy in the playoffs has absolutely nothing to do with how they feel about Trey going foward this season. You cannot use the "going with injured Jimmy over Trey in the playoffs" argument. Surprise surgery means they had no idea how severe that injury was. Also, throwing an inexperienced rookie in during the playoffs is not the same as having him prepare for the job in the off season and starting the season from day 1. They are two completed different situations with two completely different sets of circumstances.
