Possible buyer-"no thanks, you can have it"

when's the truck selling off-season again? The truck salary Cap is hard to get around. What are you going to do with the other 2 better trucks asking for more money? Thanks for more proof you will never get it.

Exactly! What this rack of ribs doesn't understand is that the team needs all of that money. They are on the hook for 7.5 million and it is not in the teams best interest to cut him until he passes a medical exam. They are still holding out in hopes of a trade. We all know that is wishful thinking but hey any thing can happen between now and training camp.

Guy thinks negotiating is like selling a truck. 🤣🤣🤣

Didn't mean to turn this into a Jimmy thread. My points is stuff like this shows that Trey still may need time and that the confidence in him isn't 100%. Call these guys liars all you want but I don't see this as lying. It's not rocket science that QB is important, it's rocket science to think a 22 year old with minimal college experience might struggle and need time. It's common sense really. It's basic s**t really.

"He's too good a player. I think Jimmy will be playing for us or will be playing for someone else. He's too good of a player not to be."
-Lynch

"We have two really good quarterbacks on our roster, One guy has gotten to the final four and beyond two of the last three seasons. If he's our guy, that's OK. If Trey is our guy that we traded up for, that's OK.
-York

"The good thing is we don't have to decide it today. We're trying to see what the best thing is for the Niners, and having a good quarterback like Jimmy is not a bad thing"
-Shanny

All of those statements are open to interpretation. I have quotes also.

"That's why we looked into trading Jimmy, because we obviously believe Trey can be the starter and we're ready to do that," Shanahan said. "

This statement here makes it very clear that they have confidence in Trey. Their is no wiggle room in this statement.

"You've got to make sure that you're not hindering his development," Shanahan said. "Trey's working his tail off. He knows how I feel about him. He knows what our expectations are for him. And I think he's got a lot of respect for Jimmy. But the situation is clear. We were trying to make a move to add some draft pick, and we were pretty close to it. And then Jimmy ended up getting the surgery, which changes things."

These quotes say that they were actively shopping Jimmy and were close to a trade but Jimmy ended up getting surgery which changed things. What things do you think Jimmy's surgery changed? Certainly not their confidence in Trey.

Lol this board and it's odd odd very odd obsession with calling other a jiks whatever that is. It seems the last resort when you've lost a debate.

I'll take it as that anyways. Everytime I'm getting an up on the debate and someone can't counter this happens so it makes sense.

Im not debating that they are shopping Jimmy. The main plan was always to get something out of Jimmy that will help the team but they've never closed the door on keeping him. Again I've said it a lot, I want Trey to start. They are leaving the door open on Jimmy, they have since even after the SB loss in Shanny's press conference, because there was always a chance he comes back. It's now March and that chance is getting closer to actually happening.

Lynch, Shanny, and York have all said so. Not me... Them...

There's still plenty of time for a trade to happen but they are not lying by saying that bringing Jimmy back is a possibility. Lying doesn't help get a better pick as I've pointed out.

I don't understand? I don't mind the quotes as they add substance to the debate. Are the quotes more or less open to interpretation? Yes, absolutely. I like to use the quotes that I believe are less or not at all open to interpretation but I am sure everyone feels the same way. Thats what really makes things entertaining.

He thinks we would come out and say Jimmy has no value to us while trying to trade him. Because coaches and GM don't lie. 🤣
