You can post stupid drills.
You can keep talking about how smart he is
You can keep talking about how mature he is
You can keep talking about how Shanahan went all in for him.
You can keep talking about how he "improved" from the cardinals game to the Texans game.

Talk talk talk. I know what I want. I want results in the win column. That's why we drafted him. I don't care about one play exciting tds. I don't care about a 99 madden rating. Show me the wins and I'll happily shut the hell up.

Cool, that means you should stay off the Lance thread until regular season, seeing as you're not capable of forming an opinion based on what Lance has shown, and can't tolerate other people's opinions and insights.

Why is it ok to have an opinion that Lance is the 2nd coming in here, but if someone has doubts they get ridiculed and called a troll. You can't have it both ways.

The point of the forum is to express and challenge opinions.

Your post was stating that you don't care what anyone says, you have an entrenched opinion that won't change until you see results in regular season.

Which is cool, but what's the point of jumping on this thread during the off-season then when all you can do is debate Lance's rookie performance?

And people don't have to be pro-Lance, I just challenge the false narratives and distorted views on his performance and potential.

There are legit arguments to be made as to why he may not pan out such as him potentially getting injured like Sam Bradford or Robert Griffin.

Or him potentially being turnover prone because he has a tendency to throw too hard on short passes that bounce off receivers hands or him trying to gun it into coverage. I was impressed by the Texans game, but he still came close to throwing three (3) more ints in that game.

So yeah, express one's views, engage, debate, but maybe you shouldn't be on the thread or question your own positions if you're not up to the task.

Yes I didn't want him to play. Apparently neither did shanahan. What does that have have to do with him showing me when he does play? I'm not blaming him for last year.

Because you're b***hing about him having to show it when you DIDN'T want to give him the opportunity to do just that lol.

It's like going to a cheap restaurant and complaining about the food.

No different then you pumping up avg Jimmy for over a year. You got all defensive about people not thinking he's as good as you do.

imo all of it is a waste of time in April.

There's a difference in saying Jimmy is average and isn't the qb to take this team to a superbowl to saying he is "trash".

With that said, I agree with you 100% that all of this back and forth is a waste of time in april. Draft is coming. And then we finally get to see what trey is all about. All the rest is just noise.
In a practical sense, Jimmy's injury benefiting Lance cause he doesn't have to share needed reps with Jimmy . All Lance, all the time until Jimmy can get back to throwing. But I think the Niners will do Jimmy a solid by either trading him or cutting him ASAP so he can have time to acclimate to whichever team he will go to.

We all have opinions but the opinions on Jimmy are based on what we've seen. We've seen his best and his worst. Unfortunately we haven't seen his best often enough. Too many so-so games.

Opinions on Lance are based on a very small sample in college and an even smaller one in the NFL. We haven't seen his best and maybe not his worst yet either. What we have seen is a more athletic, younger player that has a higher ceiling. If he reaches that ceiling then he'll be better than JG. If not then we go on searching for the next franchise QB. We'll start to get a better idea in a few weeks when they start getting together in mini camps.

Only if you believe the Jimmy trade outcome is the same with no injury.

Again most people in here didn't say he's trash…you want to say that's not true the cite the posters, if not let's stop being dramatic of a very small % of the WZers.

Yes I think people should invest their time in the draft right now vs something that doesn't matter until September

Then you should be commenting on draft threads instead of low IQ gaslighting on the Lance one.

Not what ya just said. Said he needs to play well.

You also predict the 9ers to be 6-11 so clearly you expect him to play poorly. It actually kinda seems you think he will play like "trash"

Honestly, I don't pay any attention to college football. Last year, I was looking into QB prospects before the draft only because the 49ers traded up and it was well known what their intentions were. Otherwise, I wait until after the draft to dig deep into the folks we drafted. The draft usually isn't all that exciting. Same thing with FA when it comes to this team. They just aren't and may never be an exciting off season team. I'm fine with that. I just choose to talk about other subjects pertaining to this team during the off season.

With the schedule that the West plays it's not going to be a surprise if a lot of teams are around .500. We have the NFC west and AFC west beating each other to pulp. Two of the best divisions loaded with QB talent going head to head. You don't see this happen very often. There will be some good western division teams that don't make the playoffs and some bad teams from weaker divisions that get in. You could end up with 4 or 5 of the best teams in football sitting on the sidelines in Jan. while some crappy weak division winners are in the playoffs.

Typical of your usual disingenuous BS You have an ongoing dialog with one of the biggest Jimmy flamers in this forum, Strwy2Hevn and then ask Cortez to "cite" examples of posters who say Jimmy is trash. It just never ends with some of you guys.
