and the stick to football made no sense to me

how many of these people job is to to talk about football or politics? how many of them only talk about what they are being paid to do?

A loss of life is heartbreaking indeed I believe most can agree. That's all he said and folk can choose to have no comment

I want Trey to have an undying focus on football as a fan but him simply commenting heartbreaking at a loss of life ain't hindering that

Trey is a smart dude. I can't believe he's still only 21. That being said, he knows how to market himself. I don't think he'll get into detail about certain subjects/posts. More so he'll just bring awareness to something important to him, using his platform. Just a simple post like that one, and let others discuss it or let others show their ass.

This isn't his first time doing something similar, as well as getting idiotic criticism.

He'll be good regarding his mindset on football. Legit competitor.

Deebo's comments I think are pretty honest on Trey and probably echo what everyone in here believes, that Lance needs time to adjust. Next year could start out a little slow, depending on the strides Lance makes in the off-season/preseason. He probably needs at least half a season to start figuring certain things out that only come with experience.

I definitely think we need to add a quality backup so we can stay afloat if, Heaven forbid, Lance misses any time.

I'm just so curious what we have here. I can't wait until the Training Camp observations come out... I can't wait until Week 1... I can't wait to see what mid-season looks like as he adjusts to being an NFL starter. I can't wait to see how he finishes his first year as starter..

I'm very hopeful. I think he's got the smarts and it sounds like he has the willingness to put in the work... I'm sure he's going to have his growing pains, but I'm confident he's going to develop well.

I think he can come in a play well, ala like what Mahomes did after sitting a year behind Alex.

I REALLY wonder what the Chiefs forum was like in 2017 and in 2018 offseason.......

You couldn't ask for a more similar situation. Two game managing QBs that were loved by teammates, with athletic specimens coming to take over who were trained well by the incumbents....

I wonder how Chiefs fans really felt about Mahomes. From what I can recall, they were quite bullish on him after seeing him play that final game of the season.....

And it's quite possible for as much crap as Jimmy gets here, he at least was knocking on the door of 2 SB appearances instead of 0 which Smith was apart of.....(at least from KC's perspective versus his career including SF, it was absolutely 0 conference championship appearances, let alone SB).....

So I think in their minds they needed to believe in Mahomes more than even we need to believe in Lance.....

Mahomes get his name outta here. Couldn't even win home for Cincy. I mean JG did that on the road. I bet you next time we face Chiefs you'll see who the better QB is.

Well of course I believe Trey will struggle, I've made that clear. And never said Mac is a gift from heaven, just a pro bowl, playoff starting rookie we could've had while keeping our picks. Instead of drafting a guy with less than 500 passing attempts in his competitive football career.

Lol pro bowl rookie as if a bunch of guys don't decline invites. Jones didn't do anything groundbreaking but manage like plenty rookies could've done stepping into Belichick and McDaniels. Stop riding that Alabama d**k
What we need to do is obvious. Lance can only advance so fast so we'll have to get the team as strong as possible around him to support him as he gains experience.

We have to bring back Jones and get depth at DE, LB, CB, and S.

Get a deep threat at receiver who can return kicks. Add another tight end that can separate.

And most importantly, strengthen the OL.

Oh wait, so basically reloading across the board lol. Really what all playoff teams want to do. We just need to make sure we make the right calls.

Pretty much. If we let Tomlinson walk, we'll have to spend $$ to replace him, so it makes sense to bring him back. Ditto for Jones. I feel Key will probably take more $$ elsewhere, but it'd be great to get him back for one more prove-it year and he'd break someone else's bank next offseason.

The highest risk of Lance busting imo would be his head gets messed up from the $. When you give 21 year olds millions of dollars its always risky.
I think he will be fine due to the way his parents raised him, but I doubt he will be showing up at practice in that old Malibu anymore.
Or he dates a crazy activist chick and turns into Malcolm Y.

THIS.

Hopefully he is not as dumb as a certain one of his predecessors.

Kap wasn't dumb, he saw the opportunity to flip the narrative on his legacy. He went from people calling him "Krapernick", skipping passes off the turf and getting stripped from behind with his zero pocket awareness to being a modern civil rights activist. His career as an NFL starter was nearing the end anyways, so he got to play it off like he was blackballed.

.

History will appreciate brave men like Kap and Flores even if you have no personal understanding or appreciation of them.

Yup believe it baby. Rodgers who knows if he'll even play. If so Lance will outperform him head to head, stats, you name it.
