Los Angeles Chargers QB Trey Lance Thread

Is shanny gonna hand Lance the keys and say go drive this thing, or are they going to bring in a good 2nd QB to still compete with him?

I think if they're looking to attract the best QB as insurance, they're gonna need to pay lip service to giving QB2 a legit shot. As well as have some kind of carrot to dangle as a challenge to the presumed incumbent to work at the craft.

Yeah I know, it's Lance's job.

Well he did wait until he was in his last game at NDSU and had one foot out the door before he put BLM on his cleats and took a knee.

As far as football, some mention his first start ever vs the Cards or his first season ending/playoff scenario game vs the Texans....

But when he first got legit playing time was the Seahawks game... was told out of the blue that Jimmy couldn't go, and he stepped out there and had 2TDs and zero INTs 150yards in a half. With a 117 Qbr.

Now the game could have been closer if we didn't have that fumble on special teams I believe. But all in all, he tried to keep us in the game in his first ever legit playing time. Had ups and downs with ball location, but still kept at it and drove us for two TDs.

One thing I hope trey learns is to be patient and check down when he has to, I mean mahomes just really started to do that and he has looked even better than he has. Lull that defense that throw over the top. It's the bread and butter of this offense. He's smart but I noticed some open guys underneath and he tried a harder pass down the field.
