Musing today on the possibility of Rodgers going to the Broncos. If he does, and I know it's a ways away, but Trey has a legit shot at becoming the best QB in our conference! Especially if Wilson goes to the AFC. Look at the quarterback talent in that conference, compared to the NFC. Unreal!

Trey will be better than Wilson given some time.....he can stay in Alaska, and Trey will still be king of the NFC.

Yeah, pump the brakes, bro. Wilson is an all time great - Trey will be good in his own right.

Is he? To me he seems like the same QB I've been criticizing for years. He plays backyard ball and when his escapability declines so does his legend and effectiveness. The next several years will prove if im right or not.

Russell is one of the greatest ever.

Russ is just Fran Tarkington with a title.

He says to himself.

HE first needs to hold the ball properly so that there wont be any flying DUCKS out there when he throws!!

Trey is soaking up advanced graduate Conference Champion playoff coursework now. Whereas Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones, and zack Wilson won't get that kind of advanced courseload for a good while. They will be in remidial class for the foreseeable future, with the exception of Mac Jones.

HONESTLY, of all the QBs that were drafted this year.. Only Baby Face Lance and Tiny Mac looked very very COACHABLE.

And lance has no physical limitations unlike Mac.

It's because they got drafted by really good teams with really great coaches.
I really wish they had been able to get more reps for Lance during the season. No matter how this season ends, Lance will be under a lot of pressure when he takes over. If they win the SB he'll be expected to maybe guide them back for a repeat. If they don't he'll be expected to finally get that SB win that they couldn't get with Jimmy. Either way it's not going to be easy for him.

Meh, Alex Smith came through it ok. Starting QB in the NFL is pressure packed. Nothing new. ShanaLynch goes back to the drawing board and trades or drafts another QB and the beat goes on if Lance doesnt cut it.

Jed gets a new coach if ShanaLynch can't get a good QB after letting Jimmy go (there is also a chance they keep Jimmy too).

Point is you have to take risks to stay relevant and winning. Damnd if you do damnd if you don't. This is the NFL. So far ShanaLynch has won more at the NFL gambling level than they have lost.

I'm not concerned. High aptitude, great work ethic, and an extended season to really experience the full gamut of everything. If we make it to or make it to and win the Super Bowl, in spite of the expectations on him will be good because we would've experienced everything there is to experience. Now he can approach the offseason knowing exactly what needs to be done. A fun, but immense challenge. I think he is up to it and he has all of the resources of the franchise ensuring his success. As long as he doesn't approach being in the NFL like I can beat these teams based on my talent alone, he'll be fine.

Being pressured comes with the job as a QB. How will Lance perform under pressure and guide his team, because not every win is gonna be a blow out. Lance will take some L's, how will he handle criticism, not every reporter and fan is gonna give him praise. I'm praying this doesn't turn out to be another Alex Smith type situation, then again at least Lance has a veteran offensive HC with a playoff built team. Unlike Alex Smith who had a rookie defensive HC, musical chairs at OC and probably one of the worst defenses in the NFL at the time.
