What? He had 1 tipped by a lb. What are you talking about?

I thought he had more than a couple. Maybe the other was a DB underneath. Anyways, 1 too many.. Don't want him to repeat Jimmy's bad habit

Jimmy hits the defenders in the chest. No need for them to tip it.

Besides the 1 interception there were at least two Trey passes that should have been intercepted. One before the field goal at the end of the first half and the other should have been a pick 6 early in the 2nd whe it was 7- 3.

https://youtu.be/KMz-FH1vsw4

Fans shouldn't be frustrated over a 21 yr old rookie who's played in 2 games since 2019. No one should expect him to be a finished product.

my takeaway from that breakdown is he's doing pretty damn good for a kid that needs reps…a lot of his issues are completely correctable with more time.

I feel like you shouldn't be if you used like a 2nd round pick for the guy. But 3 firsts and a third is the reason I am personally frustrated with Lance at this point in time.

By Frustrating I mean that because he's so basic right now it's hard for the coaches to want to put him out there. He also shows dynamic playmaking at the QB and opens up the field for the receivers with his big arm and legs. Frustrating in that fans want him out there, and I think I do too, but that with Jimmy there playing pretty well it's a hard decision to make. Lance is the upside play.

I think folks quick to criticize really should watch the video first.

Good news is this season is over and Jimmy is already gone. So we get a full year of Lance next year. Time to see what 3 first round picks gets you for a full season. It better be playoffs every year, a couple SB wins and a franchise QB for over a decade.

Hopefully it gets us a lot more than the constant disappointment that $125 million and a 2nd round pick got for us.

Playing in the Super Bowl seemed worth it to me. But I just enjoy watching the niners win and be competitive in the post season. Now we can go back to hoping and praying while struggling to get to .500. Just keep telling ourselves we have a lot of upside and after another year of experience next year might be good.

Came here to say the same. Jimmy got us to a Superbowl, he was worth it. I'm ready for Lance to be the starter, but I will likely never get over how hasty Kyle and Shanny were to blow such a massive amount of draft capital to move up pre draft for an inexperienced project QB. We should have taken whoever was there at 12 or used a single 2nd or 3rd to move up a spot or two to get someone on draft day. I realize that YOU CAN'T JUDGE THE KID AFTER TWO GAMES, but to me, a QB who wasn't able to overtake a so-called below average QB in training camp or when he got a chance to start in week 5 it's already proven to be an over-pay.

Jimmy stabilized the O but did not take us anywhere. Did you just start watching football? We had one the great front fours ever. They kept Mahommes in check the entire game. Our defense drove us to the sb and James choked it. He missed wide open receivers over and over again on drive after drive.P.S….. Trey's style is much safer than Jimmy's. He doesn't throw short into congestion nearly as much.

I said he GOT us to a superbowl... that's a damn good accomplishment that much more draft capital / higher paid QBs haven't even gotten close to. He was worth it, not a doubt, but it's time to move on.

Its all Trey making plays when he can. With Jimmy, our run game and pass game gel so well and you can tell the defense is on its heels the whole game.

Defense would have to win us the game and I only have confidence in our defense to win us the game if Eman is able to play.

I think McVay gets midway thru the first half and it dawns on him that he picked a pocket passer who turns 34 in a month and KS has a young 21 year old dynamic playmaker QB who is miles away from his ceiling and still capable of lighting up LA. It'll be like the Hank revelation scene in Breaking Bad a real oh s*** moment.

I would definitely hope so. But i will agree with you that McVay is realizing that Stafford is not as good as he thought. Dude is like Jimmy with a bigger arm. Can sling it around but will make those bone-headed mistakes that can sink a game.

Only a few QBs have "it". Riddick was commentating last night on trigger shy Mayfield "if he would just pull the trigger when he sees an open target..." Mayfield has a tendency to pull it back morw often than not and apparently he admitted thats how hes wired

lol hoping and praying we can get to .500 because we don't have Jimmy G as the QB look I'm thankful he came here and helped SF win games, it was refreshing BUT I'm also not that naïve to think it was all because of him.

Who hopes and prays for .500

That's Cleveland Brown or Detroit Lion energy

Nick Mullens beat that #1 overall LA Rams defense last yr....Jimmy G avg depth of target vs LA in 2020 was about 4 yards, Deebo had -5.3 air yards that game lol, it was all shovel passes and plays at the LOS.

pretty sure SF put up over 400 yards of offense on Sunday, no? I mean it will be a far harder test for sure, but SF ran for over 150 yards the first time. IMO it will come down to TOs something Stafford has been doing a lot of lately.

Man, it is not easy getting to the superbowl. Jimmy was the leader of this team. Noone was saying it was 100% him. But you HAVE to admit that without him that team doesn't get to the superbowl.

You can have a great qb and not get to the superbowl. Hell, Aaron Rodgers, your hero, has made it to the superbowl once in his 16 seasons. Marino? Once. And lost. Brees? Once. Rivers? Zero. Not many qbs make it to the big dance. Jimmy helping the team get there is better than 99.999% of all qbs.

He had 8 attempts in the NFC championship game. He helped the team get to the playoffs, but did basically nothing once we got there. He took us to 1 playoff season in 4 years and no Super Bowl wins. That doesn't feel worth it.

SO? That was what the game required, If running is working as well as it was in the NFCCG, Shanny pounds the rock. See above, look at how many legends only went to 1 or less SB in many more years.

So if he's consistently a top 5 QB by his 3rd or 4th year, we still overpaid? I don't agree with that.

If your best chance at winning is to consistently take the ball out of your QB's hands, he's not worth $125 million.

2nd rd pick and $100M was worth a trip to the SB? Let's not forget he played a pretty big part in losing that game...I mean rex grossman got the Bears to the Super Bowl lol.

Who gives a s**t about draft capital if he turns into a good starting QB for the next decade...the draft is a crap shoot anyway. We threw away 2 1st rd picks all the same in 2017. You like a QB you spend up for them. period.

Up until this yr they've spent a 1st on a QB ONCE in 23yrs...and it's not because they've been flush with amazing QB talent over that time either.

You're contradicting yourself by saying you can't judge him after two games (in all caps) THEN say after a W5 game you think he's an over-pay because he didn't "win" the job....news flash, this wasn't a QB competition. Kyle made that perfectly clear the moment he was drafted and they gave Jimmy $26.4M. He never got a chance to practice with the starters, regardless of the news outlets saying he was playing better than Jimmy in the beginning of camp. This was Jimmy's team this year, none of that was gonna change unless he got hurt. Which he did...again.

Instead of being passive-aggressive just admit you don't like Lance or the move up for a QB and you're a Jimmy guy through and through. It's very obvious that's what you are.
