Everything but bails from the pocket to soon sounds like our $100M 8 yr vet

Timid to throw the ball? That is Jimmys greatest strength, he makes quick decisions and lets it go quick. That typically keeps the chains moving and wins games in the NFL. It also causes at least a couple bone headed plays or turnovers a game lol.

Fans shouldn't be frustrated over a 21 yr old rookie who's played in 2 games since 2019. No one should expect him to be a finished product.

my takeaway from that breakdown is he's doing pretty damn good for a kid that needs reps…a lot of his issues are completely correctable with more time.

I feel like you shouldn't be if you used like a 2nd round pick for the guy. But 3 firsts and a third is the reason I am personally frustrated with Lance at this point in time.

By Frustrating I mean that because he's so basic right now it's hard for the coaches to want to put him out there. He also shows dynamic playmaking at the QB and opens up the field for the receivers with his big arm and legs. Frustrating in that fans want him out there, and I think I do too, but that with Jimmy there playing pretty well it's a hard decision to make. Lance is the upside play.

I think folks quick to criticize really should watch the video first.

Hard decision to make? JG's throwing hand is still broke, right?

Good news is this season is over and Jimmy is already gone. So we get a full year of Lance next year. Time to see what 3 first round picks gets you for a full season. It better be playoffs every year, a couple SB wins and a franchise QB for over a decade.

Who says the season is over when we win Week 18 and we're in the playoffs. Sweet lord have mercy....

So many people desperately want Mac "Andy Dalton" Jones over Lance. Its hilarious. Probably the same brainiacs who chanted "We want Carr!"
was there and i didn't chant that.. but the translation to that chant was "Bench Smith"

I thought it was a great game by the Rookie Lance...

Smith wasn't the problem. Our fans are so far off base it's embarrassing sometimes.

Welcome to your starting job moment for Trey Lance on the sideline lol

You're not a starter until you get an ear full by Kyle Shanahan. Even Deebo, who knows well how Kyle's coaching can be, came up to congratulate

what? He's absolutely timid to spin it downfield. Check down sure, Lance is the opposite he's not taking the easy check down, he wants to spin it….that's good and bad.

I think we have different ideas a of what it is to be timid as a QB

Hopefully it gets us a lot more than the constant disappointment that $125 million and a 2nd round pick got for us.
Too many tipped passes by LB underneath. Lance should fixed that by next game. A little more touch to get it over them first.

Playing in the Super Bowl seemed worth it to me. But I just enjoy watching the niners win and be competitive in the post season. Now we can go back to hoping and praying while struggling to get to .500. Just keep telling ourselves we have a lot of upside and after another year of experience next year might be good.

Had the problem in his first start. And again in his second start. What makes you think it gets corrected in #3?

Yup cuz as we all know 21 year old rookies with 2 starts are utterly finished products. The best we can hope for is games with a 116 rating and a couple scores and a win. Woe is us.

What? He had 1 tipped by a lb. What are you talking about?

I love that Kyle expects perfection so to speak from his qbs and gets into them
