I don't get the 'Run your offense Kyle, help Trey out' comment. Lance's last extensive playing time was 2019 in college. In Lance's head, those 2019 college plays are the ones he is confident in executing because he has had success with them. If Kyle called a bunch of timing throws the way he does for Jimmy, that would not be helping Lance out. If Kyle dialed up a bunch of routes that attacked the middle short area of the field, that would not be helping out Lance. So yeah, Kyle did change things up, but that's what had to be done to help the rookie. It'd be stupid to call the same plays for Lance that he does for Jimmy. We all know they have different skillsets.

1) Trey should start the rest of the season.

2) Shanahan needs to chill tf out with the QB runs before he gets him injured.

After rewatching all of Trey Lance plays against AZ, I have to say that I really like what I saw. I absolutely want to see more. He made some really nice throws in big time situations but our pass catchers did him no favors half the time.

There was a 4th and 5 play at 9:12 of the 3rd quarter. AZ brought the heat and Trey delivered a perfect strike to Sanu for the 1st down.

There was a 3rd and 3 play at 14:09 of the 2nd quarter. AZ defender had Aiyuk blanketed and Trey places the ball where only his guy can catch it. Very nice catch by Aiyuk as well.

4:04 2nd quarter 3rd and 11 Trey steps up into the pocket and delivers a strike to Sanu between 4 defenders. Sanu dropped it but it does not take away from the great play by Trey.

Just this game alone, I saw the ball spread out amongst all of our pass catchers a lot more. It wasn't just the Deebo show like in previous weeks. I honestly thought it was Shanahan who was just force feeding Deebo but now I am under the impression that it was just Jimmy favoring him this whole time.

I take back what I said about him being a one read and run QB. Most of those runs were QB draws that Kyle was calling.

I am fully on board with starting Trey the rest of the season. He is highly intelligent and our receivers need to get used to his passes. He also needs to break the huddle and get to the line sooner. Once those things happen, I think this offense begins to take off.

You want to see more of Trey fire up Madden. This is big boy football not the Pioneer League. Lance can play when he's ready Fall of 2022.

I felt like Lance was one of the few ppl from our side who was completely focused and was giving maximum effort. Even Shanahan made a few mistakes. Lance obviously made his share of mistakes but he's the rook. What Baldy is saying is - the vets, the coaching staff should have helped Lance out but they made his job even harder.

So on point with that.

Coaching was crap. I think the offensive line holding calls result, in part, from blocking for a different kind of QB. Don't know where he's going to set in the pocket, not used to so many scrambles. Team, collectively, is underperforming to date, except maybe for Bosa.

Don't leave out Deebo. He's been giving it everything he's got.

I thought the fullback sneak a couple of weeks ago was bad.

The 4th and 1-2 yards fullback sneak with 27 guys in the box was easily the worst play all under this regime.

Hard to tell with Kittle since he has to spend half the time helping McGlinchey pass block. While the Chargers rookie LT told his teammates to stop helping him Vs the top candidate for DPoTY.

Baldy was not ripping Kyle in weeks 1 through 5. Not even close to what he has been doing the last 2 days.

Injuries and poor execution is something JG has had to put up with on this team for a long time. Difference is JG is given no quarter from the "fans" and the "fans" grab at all the excuses in the world to explain the poor play by Trey the Saviour such as his 51.7% completions rate. He is not up to the starting job yet and is already getting injured.

Some people would rather lose with Trey than win with Jimmy.
