Awful. That's the post. Slow through reads, immediately run. Ya works now, won't for long. Lamar is far more dynamic then Trey and defenses have started stopping that crap.

But, if you are writing off the season, then you can do whatever you want. In any case, the team is unwatchable now, I stopped watching half way into Q3.

My prediction is the 9ers will return to the pre-2019 basement especially if Jimmy is not here anymore after this year. Lance is an unknown, there is no telling he will pan out. But, one thing for sure, you can tell he will need a ton of time before he will have any chance of being ready. He claimed he couldn't see Mitchell when it could have been an easy TD, instead he ran into a brick wall and got stomped at the goal line. That is not a good sign.

This is nothing personal. I had high hopes for Lance, but your eyes don't lie. It is what it is. The kid is just not ready. This is 180 degrees from Kap's first start. Kap is a fair benchmark in my opinion.

Why do you continue to talk about kap I'm here???kid played for a completely different team with a power run scheme on an all time roster. He also came before the league had a handle on running quarterbacks that is why he was amazing for about two years. Was it fun? Absolutely loved every minute of it. Bottom line is he didn't progress at all zero zilch and that is why he isn't in the league. By the end it was very apparent he was dog s**t at playing professional quarterback.

You can't just make up excuses. Whether Kap couldn't progress in the end or not, that is another discussion. But, it is a fact Kap was ready and Lance is not. Even when Kap weren't running, he was still throwing long bombs left right and center and in a relatively tight spiral may I add. So, it had nothing to do with whether teams had a handle in stopping mobile QBs at all. At the end of the day, it was still play action passing.

Bro, learn to be objective. Trey Lance is a longgggggg way from being ready. Jimmy might not be the second coming, but if you still relish any slight chance of winning more games, then Jimmy is your man and not Trey. Trey will sink the ship.

They both aren't good enough to bring this team anywhere meaningful this year.

We can handle Jimmy's limitations and mistake riddled play and still win games with a dominant run game and defense. We don't have those things. It isn't 2019. Our defense has been mostly good, but not like 2019 and our run game is busted and being sat on by defenses.

If Mitchell can run the ball and if the O-line can run-block better, Jimmy might still have a chance to win some games. But, with Lance? Not so much.

Funny I thought the team was unwatchable with Jimmy against Philly, GB, and Seattle.

I'm done watching that offense play.

But we'll see what Shanahan decides at QB against Indy.

I don't know why kap is brought up in the thread at all is my point. You literally bring him up with every post. The guy is out of the league it is irrelevant how ready or not ready he was vs Trey when kap was a year and a half into his career and treys 4 games in no one cares. Also, it's pretty well documented I was in the start jimmy and let Trey develope bandwagon. After the injury and they way we have looked I'd say go full steam ahead with Trey at this point. He should enough to let him play.

You are joking right? You better be, otherwise you need to get some glasses.

He's trolling. Bitter Jimmy fan who's happy that Trey is struggling so he can say "I told you so."

Butthurt? It never ceases to amaze me that people are refusing to see facts. The kid is NOT ready!! And damn right I TOLD YOU SO too!!

He's more than ready. Better than watching Jimmy play.

He is ready relative to what we currently have w Jimmy.

So yeah...more than ready.

Jimmy may not sink the ship but we aren't contending for a SB with him this year.

Trey is a long way off. Yet he is already giving us similar output to Jimmy and needs the reps.

Jimmy is done in SF after this year so I'm done w him. We would be far more dangerous squeaking into the playoffs as a WC w Lance starting rest of the way and 13 games of experience under his belt than w Jimmy.

We will find out soon enough if you insist Lance is more ready than Jimmy. LOL. Man, if it wasn't for the D today, Lance would have got burried!! So, let's see whether Lance can win more games than Jimmy then. I think you seem to be suffering from a severe case of amnesia. Shanny could not win a game to save his life, from Hoyer to Beathard to Mullens. And what happened when Jimmy showed up in those last 5 games in 2017? 5 straight wins, bro!! And you want to tell me Lance is more ready than Jimmy?! Really? And by the way, that was 5 straight wins with a crappy team. As for Lance, he has already lost his first game. Like I said, if you think he is this good, then let's see what he can do then since you don't care whether he will tank the team.

Of course I have to bring him up because you are trying to wipe out history. My point is Lance is not ready, how many times do I have to repeat myself? You need to understand the true definition of the word "ready". Go and watch Kap's tape because that is what you call "ready".

Pfft. Do you read posts?? I pretty much agree Jimmy should've start all year. The position the team is in I'd say let Trey play and grow. He showed enough today.

If he had told you guys the truth, he would have gotten death threats. Easier to just tell you what you want to hear. It's just bad that our FO was also dumb enough to think this team could contend for a Super Bowl this year with Jimmy as the QB.

I don't think he will tank the team.

You are quite the Jimmy homer. I loved Jimmy when he won those 5 straight games and was a believer. All the way up until the SB and the last 8 minutes where he just couldn't get it done with three attempts to bring the Lombardi home to SF.

Ever since he has regressed or stagnated and throws dumb picks damn near every game. We are STILL dealing w the ups and downs of Jimmy now. Dealing with the boring short passing game with no downfield threat...slants and hitches and comebacks w defenses sitting on those short routes w Jimmy unable to air it out deep. I'm willing to deal w the ups and downs w Lance as the unknown upside is intriguing and he needs the reps since he is the day one starter next year.

I thought Lance was okay today. Bad things and good. Definitely more entertaining than watching Jimmy play QB. I think we have just as much of a chance to beat Indy w Lance as w Jimmy, thus I'll take the rookie who will actually be on the roster in 2022.

Lol I don't know why it's so hard for fans to distinguish between called Qb run plays and scrambles
