It also prevents him from getting the ball out quicker which can be the difference between a completion and an INT. I'm guessing it's something they'll address it the off season. He throws like a pitcher winding up instead of a catcher making a quick throw to 2nd base.

His delivery isn't very long...you're just use to seeing Jimmy. Go look around the league, his delivery isn't that bad at all. Can he tighten some stuff up no doubt.

His velocity makes up for any issues of getting the ball out late. Kap throws like a pitcher, Lance most certainly does not...

His velocity is moot if he's getting balls tipped at the LOS while DL read his windup (DB/LB's too) and strip sacks and knock downs in the backfield.

It's absolutely something he needs to tighten up on. And he will.

Tin foil hat theory. Jimmy is not hurt.

I noticed that as well. He's special. We just need to be patient.

Somewhere Kyle is sitting with a pen and a boner.

In no particular order

There is probably truth to this since history shows he has rarely gotten hurt in the past.

I think there would be an overhaul of the strength and conditioning and trainer staff, as well as maybe some of the scouting department before Lynch's seat gets hot. And like you said, Kyle will be around at least 3 year more years to see how Trey develops. Jed signed these guys to an initial 6 year deal and extended them recently for another 6 years. This will be a long process.

It's true.

BUT I thought that's on the OL to stop with the tipped balls

That was in regard to his comment on being late on a read, when you have the velocity you can be a little late...go check out Josh Allen and Mahomes.

FWIW Does anyone truly think his throwing mechanics are a finished product at 21 with one full season of college football? Kid seems like a workaholic on everything QB, so I imagine he will put the time into it in the off season.

He's a pup and people need to understand this.

No they're preserving his trade value, and saving a little face for actually benching him.

Kyle had better scheme up the best run game he possibly think of right now. We'll need our young QB to feel comfortable, giving him the option of passing/running depending on what the D Is doing... We can still do this.. 13 games left.

This is entirely reasonable and likely. Shuffling some scouts, the S&C staff, maybe changing out a few assistant coaches but the biggest issue with this team by far right now is all the injuries.

That's not to say that there isn't pressure on Lynch and Shanahan. Both of them are extremely sharp, they're not missing anything that the fans and talking heads are seeing. I'm guessing there's going to be even more of an emphasis on avoiding injury prone players as well as overhauling some of the training approaches to try and help keep guys healthy long term.

Those were all pretend injuries so that the team could properly assess CJ and Mullens.

Is this team built for the win now? They looked bad and inconsistent all over the place yesterday.

This isn't a SB caliber roster overall imo...good and can win (possibly get in the playoffs) sure, but I don't think they're as good as you think.

Yes the long-term ramifications are just as important IMO. Quit being so short-sighted, you can't be when you burn a bunch of picks on a young QB. People act like this is the only roster that we will ever have that "is good" like we have Michal Jordon as the QB or some weird s**t. This isn't the last dance, Jimmy ain't that. Lance is gonna have to play and there will be bumps in the road either this yr or next all the same.

I don't even see that much of a downgrade from Jimmy after what we've seen so far from him honestly...They will change the offense up a little to get yards overall under Lance. I expect a s**t ton of running and easy progressions for Lance. IF Jimmy is healthy and Lance isn't a world beater, cool put Jimmy back in and let Lance sit some more. Either way Lance is gonna have to play because Jimmy is hurt....again.

when healthy yes

we looked pretty good till jimmy got hurt the offense was moving the ball and D looked amazing against a good offense. the offense let the D down and i didnt know Jimmy was hurt but that would explain it

As for Trey its clear why we went with Jimmy but overall Trey looked good. Anticipation and Field vision can use some work (i think those 2 first throws was just jitters so i wont blame him for that). What i absoutly loved was his athleticism and when he was out of the pocket he kept his eyes downfield.

Lot to like about Trey but as for this season i dont think Trey will reach that level to overcome some of the injuries. I still think we can make the playoffs (as a WC) both these loses a last second FG and some stupid mistakes (KR fumble) and keeping an injured Jimmy are hopefully those low % issues that wont repeat themselves

I get why people will feel down after 2 losses but if you put them in perspective it isnt that bad

I have a funny feeling we might deliver AZ their first L. I have no ground to stand on as we look inconsistent and turn the ball over alot, but I think Kyle will have the boys ready to play. We're back in underdog status from here on out
