LOL Simms is so sour. And his theory that the Niners traded up for Mac Jones because both the Pats and Panthers were high on Mac Jones. Then if that was the case why didn't the Panthers draft him? He fell right into their lap. And why would the Niners be worried about the Pats? They drafted after the Niners. And if the Pats were so high on him why didn't they trade up for him? Why take the risk that some other team would jump infront of them? Which a team did, the Bears. But they took Fields. And if Jones was such a top QB prospect why didn't the Broncos draft him? If Lance was there the Broncos would have drafted him. And why didn't the WFT trade up for Jones? They need a franchise QB and only had to move up 5 spots.

He's more gifted. Rushing for a td, blocking a fg and making a tackle and throwing a 50 yard td, in the same game says yes.🔥🔥

I don't know man, Allen had days in college where he looked amazing as a passer. I was actually surprised he turned out as such a run threat (not saying he wasn't athletic in college, but his arm strength was mesmerizing). Trey has a lot of developing to do before then. But he has what it takes in his mind and heart to get there.

I do think Lance is set up to be more successful than Allen right now. Remember, Allen beat a 2020 preseason 49ers team, he didn't beat the 2019 49ers team.

I think Allen's success would have come quicker if he was on a better team. The Bills roster wasn't that good when he started out. Allen also didn't have Kyle. Lance won't have that issue, He's got weapons all over the place and has Kyle the best playcaller in the league.
