In this case Kittle lost it because of a good play by Adams. But again, the ball had to be where he extended for it because of the defensive linemen whose hand was in the passing lane.

It wasn't a great ball it was too high. Kittle got killed trying to jump up high enough to bring it down. Should have hit him in the numbers to be a great ball.

The throw was fine, Kittle had both hands on the ball.

It was in front of the endzone and he had to jump as high as he could to get to it. A lower ball lets Kittle cradle it in and protect himself instead he got rocked by Adams and dropped it.

I didn't know Kittle had a 6 inch vertical.

These people would call the Vernon Post a hospital ball.

Yeah it's pretty damned funny. Also hysterical that, again, none are taking into account the hand in the passing lane which forced a slightly higher pass.

Dang. Destroyed that argument.

Let me guess if #10 would have made that same bad throw you would be singing a different tune but sure I'm the ridiculous one.

That toss flea flicker thing we tried where Kittle was wide open and Jimmy G under threw it. Lance makes that throw and puts Kittle in the end zone. That's all I know. He probably can't make all the throws that Garrapalo can right now, but that play is a perfect example of why our offense is limited.

Did your crystal ball tell you that? I'm sorry but unless Lance was in the game at that moment to throw that pass there is no way on God's green earth you can claim he would have made it and then speculate from there how that might have affected the outcome of game. Could he have hit it, sure. But we'll never know.

This is exactly the scenario they brought Lance in for. He will have a tough challenge against the Cardinals so hopefully the team will be able to get the running game going and the defense will decide to show up for all four was quarters and take some of the pressure off. Let's get out there and do it Lance. Go Niners!

All due respect, Kittle misplayed the ball. He stopped short and it went over his head. Kittle tracks it better and he catches it.

That's entertainment!

You're probably going to see a bunch of sacks, a couple of picks, and an injury. I mean it's JJ Watt and Chandler Jones against a very green rookie.

Talk about a trial by fire

Sounds like you're a fan of Jimmy and not the team. What's #10 throwing it got anything to do with this?

Are you trying to prove his point? Jump as high as he could? Lol his foot barely came off the ground. Yeah he had to put his arms up but look at the passing lane. Trey aims lower it's deflected

Holy s**t! Look at Kittle using every last ounce of energy to jump as high as he possibly could. I hope Amazon puts up some next gen stats because that has to be a record. Amazing vert.

How exactly do you get that from what I said? The point I was making was that it was a bad throw no matter who made it but the narrative would've been completely different if it had been #10 instead of #5.

Yeah I suspect this one is gonna be rough. It would be for either QB, but Trey as a rookie still trying to figure out NFL speed may have an especially rough time.

Shiftier while running than I thought. But needs to learn to climb the pocket. He'd drop back and scramble rather than drop and climb.
Trey was really fun to watch. If your team isn't gonna win the Superbowl then let them at least be fun to watch. Won't be an issue with Trey I don't think. He really looked like Lamar Jackson at times out there. Obviously Lamar is the best rushing qb in the history of the game and no one is projecting Trey to be anywhere near that level. But for one half of football at least he was crazy elusive behind the los. Fun to watch to say the least.

I think this has as much to do with him not being used to NFL speed as anything. Those scrambles were great, but a couple came because he was late to react to the open guy. In other words, I suspect there would have been no need for either scrambling or climbing on a couple of those.
