So if he gets 9.5 it's a huge fail? See how silly that sounds?

I agree that it's 10 sacks or we might as well tank

Lol

He doesn't need 10 sacks because Bosa is going to get 20

I'll give him 7
If Kinlaw emerges as an impact player that should make Ebukam and everyone else better.

Agree. Bosa might break his rookie sack record if Kinlaw is at all-pro level. Looking forward to seeing Kinlaw and Bosa sitting on the two midgets of the NFC West.

12 sacks easily !!!
I'll be happy if this guy gets 7 sacks. He has very limited pass rush moves. His best move being the Armstead, S Thomas bull rush.

I won't hold that against him though. I see him being a really good player at setting the edge and stopping the run and dropping back in coverage.

I see a lot of posters setting themselves up for disappointment.

If Ebukam can do well over the next 2 years, like play all the games, get like 6-8 sacks each season, he'd be a keeper in 2023 IMO, I really like this signing, not that expensive at $6.5M a yr, has high upside, the Rams D was horrible, other than Ramsey, Donald, & Floyd they don't have many top notch players, they let John Johnson and Troy Hill go, two of the best DBs(Safety & Slot CB), and an underrated Ebukam. I'm excited to see how DeMeco uses the likes of Bosa, Armstead, Ebukam, Key, Dee(if healthy), Kinlaw, Hurst, Givens, Jones & Kerr, if Dee is healthy, I'd keep him on the 53 with 10 DL, in exchange for Kyle keeping 4 TEs, while DeMeco gets 4 true LBs and Kyle keeps just 8 OL, so in away, like a trade, DeMeco gets an extra DL, 1 less LB, Kyle gets 1 extra TE, 1 less OL.

Also for Dee, I may be in the minority, but if he's healthy, like he plays 11-12 games, and has 2019 like number, 6-7 sacks, I'd call that a huge win, cause I see the DL as a strength, I see the Secondary more of an issue with Verrett(injury prone), Moseley(Needs to step up), K'Waun(Best CB on team, top tier Slot CB), and rookies Thomas & Lenoir, who I'm very high on, both of them, so if we could add anything in FA, if we end up not getting Julio, in the way I showed in my article on 49erscap, https://49erscap.com/index.php/2021/06/02/taking-a-look-at-what-the-49ers-really-have-in-cap-room-for-2021-and-how-the-49ers-can-make-a-julio-jones-trade-work/, then I'd like to see a CB brought in, but, not sure who right now is worth the money, Bashaud Breeland just signed with Minnesota, which leaves Sherman, and idk who else.

Aim high, my friend
If everyone is heathy and has fresh legs, who are you taking off of the field on obvious passing downs? Maybe an unpopular opinion but unless Kinlaw made/makes huge strides in the offseason I think Hurst and Givens are both better interior pass rush options at the moment.

Bosa-Hurst-Armstead-Ford

That leaves Kinlaw, Givens and Ebukam coming off the bench..... making DL easily our deepest position group.

*Disclaimer* I know realistically Ford will not play a down this year and Kinlaw will see the most pass rush snaps between himself, Givens and Hurst but the thought of having 3 PR guys coming off of the bench that could be starters on another team almost makes me forget about how thin we are at DB.

I have the opposite opinion, I like the DL, good depth, DeMeco will be like Saleh, rotate the DL, I think 9 active on gamedays(AA, Bosa, Ebukam, Key, Jones, Kerr, Kinlaw, Givens, Hurst) I trust that DeMeco along with DL Coach Kocurek will make it work. I'm worried about the secondary, CB actually, hoping Verrett stays healthy, if he can prove it, he's a keeper, Moseley needs to be consistent, KW will be his same self, I do have high hopes for Ambry Thomas & Deommodore Lenoir, I really think Ambry will become a solid starting outside CB, while Lenoir can be either outside or replace KW if they move on from him or he leaves. But we need a vet presence, and not Dontae Johnson. Someone who can play and also help develop the young guys(Moseley, Ambry, Lenoir)
Ebukam is a guy to keep your eye on...he was part of an excellent front in LA, but he'll get featured more with the Niners. He's got great speed, so Bosa will hopefully have a legit threat on the opposite side from him. He'll no doubt get stronger while a Niner, who're hoping his development would be worth a longer contract in a couple of seasons. I feel very good about this guy making his mark as a Niner.
