I'd honestly put Fields as the favorite right now with Mac second and Lance third. Just IMO.

Shanahan definitely has a favorite and he's looking to the other guys to talk him out of it if they can. Fields is super athletic but he's the kind of athletic that I think Shanahan can work with, a guy who is dedicated to exhausting the playcall as long as possible and willing to stand in and take a hit to get a pass off instead of just taking off and running.

I think Jones is everything Shanahan is looking for in terms of a guy being able to run the offense as called, staying within the framework, albeit with some limitations. Lance to me is someone that is tantalizing for his physical talent but someone that seems to be way too quick to take off and run with it and Shanahan has talked many times about what a difficult habit that is to break.

It should go without saying that it's an opinion (as are all prognostications about a draft picks possible success or failure in the nfl are). How did I come about this opinion? I watched many a video of Mac and compared his skillset to what he will face in the nfl.

And that is why you need a dynamic player at QB. You can have everything lined up, but if you have a Mac type at QB then at best you'll end up like we did in 2019: losing against an opponent who had a QB that could make those 2 or 3 off schedule plays

That couldn't win without a roster completely stacked from top to bottom. Mark Rypien won just as many SB's as Young did.

Because that's how sources work. Those relationships. Adam Schefter can just state its his opinion until he's allowed to break it. Adam Schefter knew forever about #3 trade up but had to wait. Then it was like boom-boom-boom on the pre-made tweets.
