Covid protocol. He's not part of the team just yet. I wouldn't be expecting much

I have ZERO expectations for him tbh. But he's young and athletic, so we'll see.

I think we'll mainly see him on 3rd down in obvious passing situations, a bit more speed to cover the receivers/qb.
If he just does his job then it's a win. Anything more is a bonus.

The d-line really lacks any speed, if he does anything it'll help the rest of the defense.

Against Wilson this week, they better drill in his head to take an angle and slowly carefully close in... presume he sees you coming, even if he's not looking at you.

We need Willis for the Seachickens game - we have to generate some kind of a pass rush, maybe Willis can add some pressure.

And it's official:
— Scott Young (@FakeScottYoung) October 27, 2020
The #49ers today announced they have acquired DL Jordan Willis and a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft from the New York Jets in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
So he clearly passed his physical

In fact, during the recent offseason, Willis traveled to Nashville and hired the father of Wide 9, Jim Washburn, as a pass-rush coach. Washburn, of course, is the mentor/father figure to 49ers defensive line coach Kris Kocurek.
Which is to say, it's not difficult to trace the steps that led Willis to Santa Clara.
Willis can't play this week because of COVID-19 protocols. But the trade is expected to become official on Monday, Willis is scheduled to go through his first practice Wednesday and he should be on the field against the Seahawks on Sunday. The 49ers might need him to help run down Wilson."
This was per Barrows a couple days ago...so he's worked with the founder of the W9 in the off season...gotta think there was a convo between Washburn and Kocurek about him.

Edge rusher? He has 3 sacks in 4 years and didn't even start for a bad Jets team. He may last the year on the team just because there is no one left to play DE.
