Yeah unless they can prove he went against their advice.
JJ needs a new agent, puffed his head with BS that he was a +20M a year contract receiver LOL

One year deal with the Vikings for $13 mil.

It's $8M with the chance to get up to $13M.

per nfl network

with the former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver agreeing to terms on a one-year deal worth $8 million with the Minnesota Vikings, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Thursday night. The deal has a chance to make Jennings up to $13 million with incentives.

Oof. His bet did not payoff

Got bad advice. Deebo, Aiyuk, and Jennings. All three are worst off leaving the 9ers.

JJ bet on himself and lost.

All three had two things in common. All of them had only one or two really good sesons and all of them overpriced themselves. Deebo and Aiyuk both got paid but it caused the Niners to trade Deebo and we know what happended to Aiyuk. The Niners learned their lesson and wouldn't give in to Jennings.

This says a lot about how good Kyle is. He made a star out of all 3 of these guys but then they got greedy and effectively turned on him.

Honestly if he would have accepted something like a 3y 30M contract that would have probably been the best for both sides.

Dude is an absolute baller. He always played to win and showed up when it counted. Best of luck to him.

I think it was more than just the expense. Though he was good at contested catches, his lack of speed and crisp route-running limited his game. Kirk brings what JJ couldn't in that regard. The signing of Evans covered contested catches and I believe that reduced JJ's value. So, it came down to Kirk's speed and route running versus JJ and Kirk won.
Jennings was a huge contributor at WR3. He made many game changing plays for us. Sorry to see him go. Talk about getting value from late round picks. I have no idea how it came down to this. ANother disaster out of the WR Room. Two years ago we had the best room in the NFL -- Aiyuk, Deebo, Jennings. Now they are all gone. Completely bizarre. Does this happen to other teams? I can't think of another example like this where all the talent fell of a cliff.
He'll love being with Jefferson and Addison obviously then he'll start catching passes or trying to from his QB and be like who the hell is this Kyler Murray, damn this is a downgrade from Brock

I haven't seen many Niner WRs leave and do better with another team. Most do much worse.
I liked JJ a lot and will miss his toughness / blocking. I hope he does well with ViQueens

Buh bye Yauan
Vikings are just sad.. they have all these Super Bowl ready players/vets, yet they can't fix their QB issues.

I still don't blame them for not wanting to commit to Darnold, especially with the way that season ended. Oh Well.

I don't think the 49ers based anything they did on waiting for Jennings.

Which is exactly what I said. They weren't going to wait to see if his market didn't materialize and then offer him. They went to the next option(s) immediately.
JJ just doesn't have the separation skills to be a WR1, possibly even an WE2. He's an excellent WR3. Very clutch. Great ln third down. Only reason he was WR1 was cause of epic injuries and abandonment here. Lol

Our WRs have had the worst separation in the NFL last two seasons.. he was essentially force Fed. Theres a reason why teams didn't pay him nearly what he wanted.

JJ was an awesome 49er. Loved him at WR3. Which is what he'll be in Minnesota.. possibly WR4 at times. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he gets more paydays
JJ will be back next year on a cheap deal. I'll always love him, truly a great niner

i guess I wasn't clear but the point I was trying to make is I don't think they had any interest in bringing him back period.
