Too bad Robinson is suspended and Watkins is injured, Pearsall, Robinson and Watkins could be a force!!!! That would absolutely be better than last season.

WR3's fall off so quickly at times in the NFL.
I doubt it's a career ender at all. I think he just won't get the money he could have made if he were a free agent this year, not next. Even if the 49ers offered him enough to get him to $15M this year and no other years on the deal and thus made most of the money he wanted this year and was still a free agent after this season he STILL wouldn't make what he wants since he's not going to touch the numbers from last year, and on average 80% of WRs who are targeted 110+ times get over 1000 yards. His production as a heavily targeted WR is well below average.
He doesn't really have a great option now short of playing his ass off and being so good he forces the team to play him and target him a LOT, then he has a reasonable chance at the pay day he wants after this season.

We have Aiuyk coming back by week 4-6.
I have said it once. I will say it again. Aiyuk will NOT be coming back at any point this season. You might see him in uniform and even in the lineup. But he will not trust that surgically repaired knee until next season. Period. Plus, he might never be the same player he once was. Some players make it all the way back from horrific knee injuries. Some do not. I would not count on Aiyuk. For any reason. Not this season.
As for the other guys? All unproven. Even Pearsall. BUT, if there's one thing that Kyle Shanahan knows how to do it's this: Draft WR talent. Develop WR talent. He doesn't hit on all of them. But he's hit on many. Jennings got his chance to play when Deebo went down with an injury, and later, Aiyuk. He got his opportunity. He responded to his opportunity.
Does this mean he's worth $20 million? No.

Bourne? That's kind of presumptuous he hasn't even worked out for the team yet

If he doesn't practice this week let him sit the year or trade him. Sign Bourne.
Pearsall is ready to be our #1. We have Aiuyk coming back by week 4-6. Robinson by week 4. Rookie Jordan Watkins would have made an impact if he didn't get hurt. And with Robinson on the team I think CMC will be a major player in the passing game and Kittle will have a career year as our #1 option.
Week 1:
1- Kittle
2- Pearsall
3- CMC
4- Bourne
5- MVS
6- Gage
7- Moore

Those line-ups look dreadful compared to the start of the last few previous seasons. It's mostly just Kittle,CMC, and then just a bunch of JAGs/massive question marks.
Maybe but at one point Kittle was a JAG. So was JJ. I have a hard time seeing a Kittle version of WR on this roster but sometimes JAGs step up or prove themselves to be good players. In this type of offense sometimes it's really just about continuity and building chemistry with the QB.
Also Sask talked about Robinson but forgot to add him in the later list. I really liked the Robinson signing(didn't realize he had a suspension coming tho) and he's looked pretty good in camp
and preseason. Guy actually LED the Rams in receiving TDs last year. He can definitely help us in games.
It may not be Aiyuk, Deebo, JJ, Pearsall type of WR group but it can definitely make us dangerous especially if Kittle, CMC and Juice stay healthy and add their versatility and talent to scheming up offense.

You can say it all you want but unless you're visiting us from the future…in which case hit my PMs for powerball numbers for next drawing. But you can't know whether BA will be back or not.
He's looked pretty good in clips, obviously not cutting to his full ability but he was running routes during preseason warmups. That doesn't scream guy who doesn't trust his knee. I find it hard to believe he doesn't suit up this year and likely in the first half of the season. He may not get back to what he was in 2023 until next year if ever but I expect him back and contributing even if not to his pre injury and pre holdout levels.

I was just scouring the internet after I read Bourne. 😆

I understand you have an idea of how things might go ... but declaring it as a fact is nuts.
I think Aiyuk will come back, but will not be 100% this year but maybe could get there next year ... but even with that I don't KNOW, I just think that's reasonably possible.

only way I can see Aiyuk not coming back is if we suck ass and are losing a lot of games. I think he is back around week 10. Will probably activate him around week 4 from PUP and he will practice for 6 weeks or so.

The suspension is why Robinson was available. He's a good WR who has been behind other good WRs.

I think we will know for sure where he is if they bring him in to practice for week 5. If they do there is a possibility he is active for week 5. Kyle hinted at week 6 being possible.

If they want to play hardball they can file an injury grievance which essentially sends him to the NFL arbiter for examination and determining if he's actually injured enough to miss games or if he's lollygagging. If he is lollygagging then they can fine him, but they can go further and suspend him without pay if it gets really extreme.

The 3.5m was an incentive bonus he hit last year. He hit it and it's payable Sept 1. It has nothing to do with this year which by the way has very little incentives. If he is on the team at midnight, it's payable.
