One guy to watch as I think NY mentioned is Lance's old favorite target at NDSU, Christian Watson. 6'4", 200+ pounds, a long strider that eats up turf like crazy once he gets going as well as a willing and eager run blocker, because you pretty much have to be in that offense, I think he checks all the boxes and familiarity with Lance is just a bonus. I can't see anyway that he wouldn't be on the 49ers radar come draft season.
I wonder how he felt making the big Trent Williams get up after his big 3rd down catch in OT down the sideline?
Dude has been balling out.
My only concern is if he can control his emotions. I can see them coming out already(still in a good way yet). Kind of like TO. Baby TO was fine until he no longer was 2nd best on the team.
It was encouraging to see his bowling celebration and not getting too crazy after his 2nd TD.
This is the type of player "stepping up" that extends seasons. Sometimes all the way to a championship!

I don't see the TO ego in him.
although he can get pretty chippy with opposing players

Please continue to prove this right, going into next year too. He's played so well, they don't need Sanu anymore, but they could add a super speed threat.
Kyle has a role for big slot and JJ will fill that nicely in the foreseeable future. Agreed there is a role for a speed guy because Travis Benjamin ain't it. Sherfield is ok.

He's physical, great energy, versatile and a natural playmaker. I loved this kid coming out of Tennessee and predicted he would be our #3WR within 2 years (have screen shots to prove it lol).
Volunteer fan (Jauan's alma mater) here, turned recent 49ers fan due to Jauan. You guys have always had E-man, which is still such a great story, but Jennings is one of the more beloved Vols in recent history. So I've followed the team all year. Followed the team when there was debate about Hurd getting a roster spot over Jennings earlier (hahahahahhahha). Notice no Vol fan ever came over here to post about Hurd, but everyone loses their $hit over Jauan. You're beginning to get a glimpse of why he was such a fan favorite. Not only for his play on the field, but watch his pressers. He's so hard not to like.
For some folks that might be late to the party on Jauan, here's a few posts I made just before the season started. You can see, he's EXACTLY the type of player he was in college, he's EXACTLY the type of player why TN fans loved him so much, and he's EXACTLY the kind of player that turned a bunch of hick fans from East TN into huge fans of a Northern California football team.
Here are a few post game interviews from him. Even if that ends up being the best game of his 49er career (it will not, by the way), how can anyone not like this kid. And like I said before, for those that still bring up his "character" being the thing that dropped him…watch these pressers. His character was the least of anyone's concern. I think I said the same thing in one of the above posts, but Jauan is not a guy you have to worry about punching a woman or getting arrested. A personal foul flag is the worst thing that will happen, but it's all from a place of passion, not malice. What DID dropp Jauan all the way to the 7th, is his combine/measurables. He's slow, he's not got a big wingspan, he has small hands, and he bobbles too many catches. But he plays SO big, and he's SO clutch, and he's such a team/fan favorite. By the end of year 2, the fact that Hurd is off the team and Jennings is ballin' out surprised 0 TN fans. Go Niners baby!!

Daddy Mike had a WR similar to him.. his name was eMac!! he was the 49ers 4th WR behind some guys name JR and JT.. .then he couldn't beat out the enigmatic Mike Sherrard..
When Mike went back to Denver, he brought eMac along w/him and once he got his chance (like J1 here) he became an awesome receiver for Elway..
It would be smart to try to sign him to a cheap multi-year deal this offseason. He is getting paid the league minimum next year. We should be able to get it done easily. If you can get him to sign something like a 3-year deal somewhere around 2 million a season, with some guaranteed money. I think he signs it. I know I would sign it if I was him. He could bet on himself but there are too many risks playing on a 1-year league minimum contract

Good team man, does his blocking (lay out type…ie, he lays them out) and when called on to catch a ball in the EZ or to take one into EZ, Jauan is there.
Just another late 3rd day pick that our F.O has been so good at. This one is again, a keeper.
Gem of a find in the 7th round. ShanaLynch's jobs are safe if they keep finding gems like this on day 3 of the draft.

It was also due to a stacked WR class

Seems unfair to CBs. You have a big 6'3 guy that's been coming straight at you to block for run plays. Here he comes again. Your ass pucker up for another block and tussle-- but wait! He just made a quick cut and caught the ball.
Jennings don't need to be a consistent 4.4 guy for Kyle to use him. Big, physical, and some short area quickness will do.
