He's really come along. I remember people saying when he was drafted that he was a camp body or maybe a practice squad player because he was slow. He works hard from what I hear and has become a reliable target with decent size.

I was absolutely one of them. Happy to eat crow.

Hurd was just here to keep our training staff busy and test out the new medical equipment.

Almost every catch is a 3rd down conversion or a td. "The boy is good" "Sexual chocolate!!!! They play so fine don't you agree"
Hell of a pick continues to play so well.
Just read an article in the newsfeed that said 20 of Jennings' 24 receptions this year resulted in either a 1st down or TD. Not too shabby. Read somewhere else that EVERY 3rd down reception he had in college resulted in a first down. I am getting to like this kid more and more. Hope he gets more opportunities in whatever games we have left this year.

Crabtree just wanted to be paid and that was very evident right after he was drafted. Jennings is very grateful for the opportunity and is making the most of it.

So true

Argued to have early draft talent, but ran poorly at the combine, and has some history of off-field issues that knocked him down. Could be considered a dirty player, but Jennings is straight up nasty. Monster blocker and could be a steal at this point in the draft if he keeps it clean.

Edit: Please merge!

Please continue to prove this right, going into next year too. He's played so well, they don't need Sanu anymore, but they could add a super speed threat.

Kyle has a role for big slot and JJ will fill that nicely in the foreseeable future. Agreed there is a role for a speed guy because Travis Benjamin ain't it. Sherfield is ok.

I don't think Sherfield is a burner. I am not sure he would be a fit for a speed guy.

That's what's left to fill out the roster, an explosive deep threat. One guy to watch as I think NY mentioned is Lance's old favorite target at NDSU, Christian Watson. 6'4", 200+ pounds, a long strider that eats up turf like crazy once he gets going as well as a willing and eager run blocker, because you pretty much have to be in that offense, I think he checks all the boxes and familiarity with Lance is just a bonus. I can't see anyway that he wouldn't be on the 49ers radar come draft season.

Facts!
Think he got a bum rap as a dirty player, because he is a bruiser. He plays big, he hits bigger, but i have not seen nor heard anything that demeans just how good he is. Good team man, does his blocking (lay out type…ie, he lays them out) and when called on to catch a ball in the EZ or to take one into EZ, Jauan is there.

Just another late 3rd day pick that our F.O has been so good at. This one is again, a keeper.
