Kinlaw hasn't played up to expectations so far because of the knee issues. This is really his first healthy season so let's give hum a chance to see how he progresses.

lol...not surprised at all by these comments.
We have the #4 run defense in the NFL while playing 2 run heavy teams on the road. Kinlaw has been the guy playing the most snaps at DT but he sucks and horrible in the run game. Cuz PFF says so...

I mean. I thought he played well vs the Bears. He still has issues with pad level. But with Hufanga playing at the level he is, I don't think our run defense is an issue at all.

Our first rounder? 5th round picks carry this entire team!

He'll get plenty of opportunities to prove himself not doubt.
Let's just hope he develops Into something more than Just a run stuffer.

my take on this is that Kinlaw is absolutely not a body eater.
At this point in his career he is not a guy that can eat a double team without giving ground. Denver gave him a steady diet of double teams, and he went backwards.
Maybe the all 22 would paint a different story, but from what saw that is what I came away with.
I think giving Kinlaw a gap and telling him to just explode that gap would be a much better use of him, but DTs are not often made the stars of the show like that. Often it is just a thankless job and you have to eat blockers so your LBers and ends can shine. Any time you see great LBers, there is no-named functional big bodies infront of them giving them clean shots at the ball.
With the line quality we have right now, we might have the beginnings of the most talented line in 49er history. I would love to see the 49ers just turn them loose. BY and Stubby had the massive benefit of just shooting a gap, they didn't have to react... it it was the wrong gap so be it. I would love to see that happen with this line.

Sitting out practice with his knee acting up again.
We better not be dumb and pick up the 5th year option on this guy.

Surprised if he plays on Monday night with this recurrent knee issue. Just not cut out to play a full season.

Yup. May not get as bad as some others, but I don't see him ever receiving a huge commitment from the team. It's interesting because both he and Armstead's deals expire the same year. The guy won't develop without playing and he hasn't played consistently enough to develop. It sucks for him and us because some guys bodies just give out on them at this level.
With that said, I hope we don't draft a DT early. Let OL, TE, and FS get some love.

Dude just looks lazy, no motor at all, he seems like he just goes through the motions on each play and just runs into blocks and doesn't even try, yea not liking the pick so far
