This is how I feel about it especially the bold... In a way it reminds me of Kyrie flipping off the Boston fans recently. After the game he was like look man if you all can yell at me all kinds of crazy s**t, then I can flip you off in return, it's that simple. You get what you give. If I was a player personally I would have made Cohn feel like an idiot as much as possible, starting a longggg time ago, if I had to deal with his nonstop b******t every time I met the media… I mean the guy (Cohn) has zero self-respect. I can't even believe a person would deliberately invent such a career for themselves. It's actually sad, lol.

Being a journalist, as I was taught in high school, is , first reporting about a team or an individual person's play. From what I learned, it was never goading someone into a tirade or physical confrontation because they were hurt and the injury affected their play. And this is a young man who is what, 24 years old with the future of his family riding on his back. A family which was homeless at times. Just the trauma from that situation alone sticks with you no matter what situation you are currently in. Then you add in the politics of the game. That's a lot of pressure. And as we all know, pressure will bust a pipe. Fortunately for Cohn, with the pressure he was pumping into Kinlaw's head, his head ain't a pipe.
I hope Javon keeps this type of energy against the teams we play instead of just reporters and such. I also hope its just not energy and actual plays in the games.

Ask Charles Haley.
I mean if he can just get healthy and use all this as fuel he can be a force…dude is built to be a DT

Just as good as Buckner if he can stay healthy. Buckner has slightly more speed, JK is slightly more powerful.
Excited to see the kid play this year!

He has a long way to go before we compare him to Buckner. As I mentioned before, any kind of contribution we see from Kin this season would be a plus. Besides, physical attributes don't always equal to success when It comes down to producing In the NFL.

Wow, he's really trimmed down. He looks like a Big End now.

On a personal level he's obviously worked hard...just hope his genetics match up to his work effort.

He deserves a chance.

Calm down sparky. Buckner was one of our very best players, heart and soul of the defense and one of our foundation pieces esp. as a leader.

I'm not sure if Kinlaw is a family member for you but let's just get him through a full practice first where he's actually doing football activities and not dancing and chasing journalists down on the other side of the field to intimidate them.

Baby steps.

Nah. He also doesn't have to be Buck.

Not sure who you're referring to, but Cohn absolutely deserves criticism for pushing his narrative on Kinlaw so hard to just make money. Jimmy deserve criticism for making more money than he earned. I don't believe Kinlaw, Ford, or even Hurd deserved the criticism they received, as injuries are not exactly under their control.
Oh, please. That is one of the stupidest things I've seen in here for awhile. And that's really saying something.

Its not though. You can't push someone over and over for 2+ years until they snap and then blame the player for being out of line. Its 100% on Grant for abusing his media credentials to antagonize and belittle players for social media attention. The 49ers let him in the building every day after he talks loads of crap about these players online. Its their own fault for creating this environment for backlash. Kinlaw was done being harassed and having Grant push a narrative that could damage his reputation to outsiders.

Because he doesn't insult players in the actual press conferences, pulling his credentials is an overreaction, I think. I also suspect it would backfire, as if they pulled his credentials the sympathy from other journalists (who have been very critical of him) would absolutely go back over to his side again.

As Marshawn Lynch has already established, if the player's choose to they can just say no comment whenever he asks a question, and make their point that way.

When was the last time you saw a legitimate journalist wish Kinlaw would assault him so that he could retire? He stated that publicly, and not privately, and I think actions like that should have direct consequences to his 49er press access privileges.

If you go back in the thread you can see that I think it's pretty silly of Armstead (and by extension, us) to try to assert with a straight face that we actually believe Cohn was serious about wishing Kinlaw would hit him so he could sue him into oblivion and retire.

Grant Cohn is a dumb troll. "I wish you would hit me! I'd sue you and blah blah blah" is a dumb thing that dumb people have been saying for my entire life.

Pretending to take anything Cohn says seriously because it feels momentarily useful isn't the move, IMO.

He's already gotten another full day of content pretending to be incredulous about people pretending to have taken that seriously.

Break the troll cycle, man.

Nobody should be making light over goading a player into hitting him for a big payday. It's totally irresponsible and by Cohn putting it out there at all, he's asking for trouble. When players hear Cohn saying these kind of things, Cohn will simply lose their respect because he exhibits none toward them or himself. The best solution in dealing with trolls is for them to experience genuinely negative consequences such as losing his press pass.

Leave Jimmy alone 😭
