Same people that criticize Jimmy G every day say that Cohn crossed a line with Kinlaw. Pure comedy.

What? Why is that comedy? Jimmy G deserves the criticism, and Cohn crossed a line with Kinlaw. Please enlighten me on what's so funny about either.

How does one deserve criticism but not the other?. What about Dee Ford? No one has received as much criticism as those two. Let's just hope kinlaw produces something special this year considering what we gave up for him ( Buckner + 14th ovr ) anything less than a solid season from Kin and the criticism will continue to mount. Same goes for any player that was drafted In the first round.

Not sure who you're referring to, but Cohn absolutely deserves criticism for pushing his narrative on Kinlaw so hard to just make money. Jimmy deserve criticism for making more money than he earned. I don't believe Kinlaw, Ford, or even Hurd deserved the criticism they received, as injuries are not exactly under their control.

I'm mostly referring to the players being sensitive over criticism. Ford and Jimmy have been bashed non stop and have yet to lash out the way kinlaw did. Right or wrong. That's just how It Is when your an entertainer. They are grown men and should know not to respond to the nonsense they see and hear. As for Grant, we all know he can be over the top, but why do we care what he has to say? He's Irrelevant. My advice to kin, would to build some thick skin, because it's only gonna get worst if he doesn't produce this season the way a first round player should.

Gotcha. I agree that Kinlaw's response was completely wrong. Personally wish he could use that anger on the field against opposing QBs and prove Cohn wrong instead of what he did. That being said, I still put the blame on Cohn and think this should cost him access to the team.

Totally agree with that.

For the life of me, I couldn't understand how Cohn could have 50K subscribers. But, after reading through this thread, It's becoming clear. His channel is like the ' National Inquirer' of years ago. Zero factual content but tons of 'sensationalism'. So, if that's the sh*t you like, do be it. But don't say he is a reporter or journalist, Watching his channel is like watching 'Jackass', laughable entertainment. I'll be disappointed if guests like Jason Aponte, Vish & Crock appear on his channel again.

True. Calling him a reporter or journalist is an insult to those professions.

I don't sympathize with people who behave in a manor in which they won't receive any repercussions for their actions because they feel untouchable.

That's why I don't really care what happened to Grant at all. I think he deserved some form of a reality check. But I still don't think we should praise Kinlaw either.

I praise Kinlaw for standing up for himself. I just don't agree on the way he went about it.

I don't blame Javon at all. At least he is being sincere. He has a right to express himself as much as Cohn. It's not like he beat up Cohn (yet).
I haven't been following this ... can anybody post what exactly Cohn did that was so bad? Thanks

Don't believe you. All you have to do is watch a sample of his videos, read his body language and expressions, then interpret his intentions. Come to your own decision about his intent.

He was just being the entitled little prick that he is, and Kinlaw got fed up with his punk b***h ass.

Its not though. You can't push someone over and over for 2+ years until they snap and then blame the player for being out of line. Its 100% on Grant for abusing his media credentials to antagonize and belittle players for social media attention. The 49ers let him in the building every day after he talks loads of crap about these players online. Its their own fault for creating this environment for backlash. Kinlaw was done being harassed and having Grant push a narrative that could damage his reputation to outsiders.

Because he doesn't insult players in the actual press conferences, pulling his credentials is an overreaction, I think. I also suspect it would backfire, as if they pulled his credentials the sympathy from other journalists (who have been very critical of him) would absolutely go back over to his side again.

As Marshawn Lynch has already established, if the player's choose to they can just say no comment whenever he asks a question, and make their point that way.

When was the last time you saw a legitimate journalist wish Kinlaw would assault him so that he could retire? He stated that publicly, and not privately, and I think actions like that should have direct consequences to his 49er press access privileges.

If you go back in the thread you can see that I think it's pretty silly of Armstead (and by extension, us) to try to assert with a straight face that we actually believe Cohn was serious about wishing Kinlaw would hit him so he could sue him into oblivion and retire.

Grant Cohn is a dumb troll. "I wish you would hit me! I'd sue you and blah blah blah" is a dumb thing that dumb people have been saying for my entire life.

Pretending to take anything Cohn says seriously because it feels momentarily useful isn't the move, IMO.

He's already gotten another full day of content pretending to be incredulous about people pretending to have taken that seriously.

Break the troll cycle, man.

I personally think calling Cone stupid strengthens the point that he's not a real legitimate journalist.

I think Javon is going to kick Azz this year!

Who's azz? Grants azz?

As a rabid 49er fan, that side of me wouldn't mind it a bit. I just hope it's done with plausible deniability, such that Kinlaw isn't in any danger of being suspended or punished.

Lol that alone would make the drafting of Kinlaw worth it.

I totally agree!

If trashcan Cohn is banned from the 49ers facilities, and we don't ever see SI articles or his clown face on the social media feed here on the webzone, that would be so far the biggest contribution Kinlaw has made to the organization so far.
Advice: If you like searching for 49ers content on youtube, I suggest using "49ers -grant". The "-" is an operator of a keyword to ignore. It doesn't eliminate the entire results from the clown, but at least it filters out some of his gargabe content. Unfortunately haven't found a way to just ban his content from my youtube feed. There should be a way to tell YT "I don't want to see content from X account from my results"

Great advice, and while there are a lot of Mr. Cone-head fans, there are much more 49er fans that just want fair and balanced reporting. Us rabid 49er fans don't need opinions, just the facts, so we can form our own opinions. Cone is just an entertainer, his pieces are designed to elicit a reaction like typical clowns or comedians like to do. Like others have said, he doesn't need a press pass to do that, nor will his livelihood be hurt by taking away his press privileges - he'll still be able to clown and do 49er gag pieces on the internet.

True. But without the press he will only have his youtube channel, so it'd be easier to avoid his stupidity. Here in the webzone it's annoying to check out the twitter feed at the bottom and see his spam polluting the feed. Even if the 49ers doesn't remove his credentials, webzone could and should remove his content.

I'm all for removing spam and lies from the Webzone!

Most of those followers are probably his haters. The only time I see his content is when someone posts it here complaining about how awful he his. Some of my friends do the same thing in our group chats.
